We need to be educated on MOs
That's why we don't bother with such small samples as one game. Drown's 53 TAs since 2022 (inclusive) are from a sample of 70 games. Asi only played 32 games in that time, because he isn't as good as Drown, and only made 16 try assists.Brown had 3 Try Assists yesterday. I suggest that if Daejarn Asi was still here and played instead, he would've also had the exact same 3 Try Assists yesterday. Was Brown's involvement in each of the tries instrumental in the try actually being scored? I suggest no.
I don't think he would either, but I also don't trust the numbers spruiked by the media. They are still reporting a player option as a 'get out clause', as though a star 22 year old would've signed the rest of his twenties away for less than a million a year.He isn’t going to stay and take a $400k paycut. He’s a bigger idiot than I thought he was if he does.
The game goes for 80 minutes, not just the final ten. For example, nobody at the Storm needed to be 'clutch' yesterday because the game was over after 20 minutes. Does that mean they are worse players than some merkin whose team couldn't ice the game until the 75th minute?Oh dear... do you read this shit before you type it (or copy it from some fluffer's website)?
Other than make a difference when it is most needed... not just generically try hard in context-free stats world.
You're comparing the influence of a team on the result of a team sport to astrology? And perhaps the position of Uranus is more likely to have an influence... but we need an experiment with a control group (planet) just to be 100% sure!
These are the guys who got us into the finals for four straight years. Rebuilding right after a grand final loss would've had you idiots lynching the Ray Price statue. What are you on about now. They where stupid contracts to begin with and these are the ones f**king our squad. These are the players we need to cut lose as soon as we can.
Regardless I am just pointing out where put issues are.
So after having had a night to think about the loss, I’ve taken a breath and prepared to give them another week. I think we will learn more about ourselves on how we back up against the Tigers then what we did yesterday.
It was a diabolical performance no mistakes about it, it really wasn’t first grade standard or acceptable whatsoever.
However realistically if you had of told me an hour before the game we were going to lose 56-18 I would have said that sounds about right.
Putting some perspective on it we had to fly to Melbourne who have never lost round 1, very inexperienced squad, 35 degree day. We were always going to be up against it.
Some of the tries Melbourne scored were just from class and would have scored against any team. Yes there was more than a few that we gifted to them also.
We are going from playing the comp favourites to the 3 time wooden spooners who weren’t great in round 1 themselves.
Big week at training, switch on and see what we can do this week. Hopefully we can get the season back on track…. I will be more disappointed if we lose by 2 points this week than losing by 40 yesterday.
Hopefully Ryley Smith pulls up okay with that lower leg injury that forced him off, he was one of the few shining lights from yesterday.
Bryce is dead wood? The possitives for me -
I estimate we have about 1.2mill under cap.
Think about it -
Lomax was signed in March and fitted under cap.
We also offered Blaize 500k so had that money. Let's say that cancels out Iongi.
Sivo cancels JAC.
We then released RCG and Gutherson. And only signed Williams.
We had missing Moses,Lane,Matto,JAC,Simmonson
That's 3 million
Throw in the dead wood of Lussick,Bryce and Dunster and that's another 750k.
Almost 5 million of cap space didn't play yesterday.
2026 we will have some money to spend.

There are plenty of ordinary teams in the comp. A couple of them will play in the finals. Why not Zoidberg?I don't think we will challenge for a top 8 spot any more
I expected every premiership window would end for us. You think it's coincidence we've missed the finals* after every grand final since 1986?Nah. I called it and im a dope. Was very easy to predict.
Every side must refresh. Everyone knows forwards burn out once close to 30. It isn't rocket science. 4 yr deal.
I'm 29yrs old 4 yr deal.
My last two clubs moved me on
4 yr deal
I had one very good season but mostly junk
4 yr deal
I play on bench in UK
2.5yr deal
We will pay you 250k to take this player
4yr deal.
I never learn't how to defend on the wing
4yr deal
I am a great defending 5/8 who can run
9yr deal with 4 x POs
I mean honestly what did you expect?
The buying Papenhuyzen train left the station in 2022 mate. If he wasnt coming then, he isnt coming now (or in the foreseeable future). What about putting Iongi at 6 and buying Papenhuyzen?
Has there ever been a forward with more wind blown up his arse than Guymer? I just can’t see it. Hope I’m wrong for our sake but he is barely a first grader.Tomorrows team list will be interesting
Second row has to be looked at, kelma is horrid and Williams is an out and out middle.
I wonder who will partner guymer, prob Cartwright.

I don't think your comment or question directly relates to the post that you quoted. Standard, but anyways...The game goes for 80 minutes, not just the final ten. Subtlety might have been lost. I'm comparing the contents of your post to astrology - or whether or not your arse was located on the shitter at the time. You're comparing the influence of a team on the result of a team sport to astrology?

He is still eligible for Flegg.Has there ever been a forward with more wind blown up his arse than Guymer? I just can’t see it. Hope I’m wrong for our sake but he is barely a first grader.
Ah okay, so just trolling again. Now you know why I refuse to engage seriously with you.I don't think your comment or question directly relates to the post that you quoted. Standard, but anyways...

Because it's now clear we won't win as many games or have as "good" a points differential as those couple of ordinary teams who do manage to scrape into the 8.There are plenty of ordinary teams in the comp. A couple of them will play in the finals. Why not Zoidberg?
