We played for about 15 mins, and got within 1 point and then put in a real lazy set and that was about it. People who reckon we were the better side are playing with themselves.
Definitely not the better side..
When the game was getting tight they looked to expose our weakness...go at Perham.
We wouldn't know what the weakness is in the Roosters because we run hard and tackle hard. Hopefully that's enough to get us a victory at the end of the 80 minutes..we never dissect an opposition.
Was also encouraging to see we bombed Tupou a few times. Mahoney was there to outleap him...ummm kick low to the giraffe ffs

In fairness on Walker's try he was defending in the line as we were a man down.

The decision to do this was probably the real culprit. Would Gutho have made this decision himself, or would he have been instructed to by the coaching staff? I can't see Gutho making that decision himself.
I think he just plugged a hole after a quick play-the-ball. All fullbacks do it.

I reckon for each 3 lots of six agains, the last player who gave the penalty should be binned.

If there are multiple offenders, the attacking team chooses who goes to the bin or the captain takes the fall. Maybe that's why the tides have 30 captains

From watching them play. They make poor decisions too often to play a style that requires them to make more decisions and expect success. Just like if we had lighter forwards and played a style that required more forwards running through the middle. It wouldn't suit our players. What we do now works for us.
Playing dumb and lazy???

That's possible.

We allowed far too many quick play the balls during the match in general, and played the ball too slow ourselves.

Stats say otherwise, we had a faster average PTB speed. 3.54 vs 3.49, f**k all in it, but it shows how unreliable general observation can be without qualification.

How dare us expect to make the top 4.

Mr mediocrity lol.
If it happens it happens, but until we have better recruitment/retention advantages than 12 other clubs we shouldn't expect top four in any given year. We should expect top eight with this squad and take top four as a bonus.
