Both teams are down low on the table 14th and 15th and it was 4 tries each. We only kicked one goal.
That’s poor trolling. Do better.

I stated facts. Beaten? Yes. By a poor side? Yes

I watched the Ch9 replay this arvo and it wasn’t as bad a game as I thought at the ground. It was a low error throw everything at each other battle and both teams scrambled really well in defence.
It’s that scramble and the switch plays and offloads that beat Storm and Penrith and we executed that style OK last night.
Gee that Moses sin bin was iffy. Yes Moses put his hand on Turbo’s shoulder, but Turbo got a flat pass from the hooker. If Turbo wasn’t “interfered with” or held back he would have been in front of the ball carrier.
Good game.
Hate to say it, but I enjoyed Joey, Camillions and Slater’s commentary.
You can throw in the whack in Reg’s jaw not long after Perham nearly lost his head. What I found laughable about the Moses binning is that yes he touches him but didn’t effect him at all.
when penisini kicked the ball in the second half, he was clearly tackled late. Not blocked but tackled. Yet all we got was a penalty
No charge either by the MRC. The 2 on report both fines only. Laughable really. You can throw in the whack in Reg’s jaw not long after Perham nearly lost his head.
But how many of them can also defend at 85% effectiveness in the NRL?That's what I don't get. Kicking really isn't that hard. Everyone on a soccer team can do it.
Viduka would have gone alright. But how many of them can also defend at 85% effectiveness in the NRL?
He just needs his dad to last another 5 or 6 years………..There’s a serious shortage of merkins who can kick and tackle. If you can do both you’ll always have a place in the NRL. But yes, getting to 100 games could still take a bit of luck.
Sure but then there’s the requirement for the halves (and fullback) to cover great distances over 80 minutes. It’s a list of requirements that starts to exclude most merkins with size and power.Viduka would have gone alright.
But I wonder if kicking gets a little too compartmentalized as you go through the system and even at NRL level. Plenty of athletic guys 95+ kilos should be able to do general field kicking and defend, and there's lots of them in NRL teams.
Haha yeah the good clubs all have quality backup halves. Look how good the Storm’s backups are going! The salary cap means that some merkins who “should be nowhere near first grade” might have to end up playing some first grade. How Jake is the only back up half in our top 30 is absolutely laughable.
Does the general kicking need to be done by a half?Sure but then there’s the requirement for the halves (and fullback) to cover great distances over 80 minutes. It’s a list of requirements that starts to exclude most merkins with size and power.
That's pretty much what makes them a half. It's a specialist skill that takes a lot of work, and for blokes who aren't required to do it, all that work is a waste of time. There's other shit they need to spend their time on. Plus by the time they reach first grade the kickers (halves) have already been identified and recruited. Trying to develop the kicking game of some bloke who didn't come through the lower grades as a general play kicker is too little too late.Does the general kicking need to be done by a half?
Weaker sides seem to have the better back ups.Haha yeah the good clubs all have quality backup halves. Look how good the Storm’s backups are going! The salary cap means that some merkins who “should be nowhere near first grade” might have to end up playing some first grade.
Hutchinson is bog ordinary, tbh...
Yeah.
Well in NSW CUP JA ran for 164 mtra, had 3 LBAs and 1 TAs. He maybe ordinary but that's good stats
How long did it take him to run so farYeah.

I think he's too slow in every thing he doesI am one of the few people that actually sees a footballer in Jake Arthur - he's got a good footy brain, he defends well, and his kicking game is generally good.
He also has decent pace - not outstanding, but good enough to be a problem for opposition defences.
His main area of improvement is the speed at which he makes decisions, and this will come with more competitive experience.
Tim Smith was quick between the ears and he oozed confidence. Defense was shit and his psychological issues led to his lack of successI think JA could develop into a Tim Smith type halfback, but a better defender
Probably needs to gain half a yard of pace in all facets of his game, not just running the ball
