Definitely, if not before. Honestly some people here would never make changes to the side unless someone retires, people complained when we signed Api and let Egan and Katoa go. Sauce and Whare both really struggle to get over the try line(for years now) but they both should have a mortgage on their spots despite the young guys who have come into he backline scoring plenty of tries. People just get to sentimental, it’s no way to pick a footy side.

Agree except Mansour is just making so many meters.

For mine Whare and Sauce will definitely be back ups next season, no question, hopefully they can find opportunities elsewhere because if they are on 400k they money would be great to free up. The really tough question is Tamou, he is playing great and is a very good leader, he deserves another contract for sure but can we afford it? All these players we have outside of Jimmy T, Whare and Mansour are going up in value, some of them massively so. Kiks is off contract 2022 as well as Fish so we will hopefuly be able to extend them before then cause if not we are in for bidding war to keep them. It is going to take some really good management for us to keep the core of this side together and that will mean making some tough decisions.

All our wingers make decent metres, Sauce is the best at it but To'o isnt far off and he is much better finisher and he is a better defender and better in the air. Naden when he has been on the wing has been very good at it also.

If Staines can prove that he can handle himself physically over the next few weeks he is going to be hard to drop when Brian comes back. That acceleration will always be a threat and he has plenty of skill besides that, it just comes down to if he can handle the defense and physical side of things. He did well against the sharks in that area but we wont really know until we see him play a few more games.

Also what is story with Blore. I know plenty rated him here. I was impressed watching him. He gave it to N.Brown.
I am suprised Capewell was signed and he was lost as I knew Panthers fought hard to keep him previously.

I think the tigers just offered more money than we were willing to pay him, they are signing a lot of young players from other clubs, trying to a Ponga type signing i think. Besides Capewell we already have Kikau, Martin and Burns. Going all out on the young guys can be a slippery slope. The Broncos have the best young forward pack ive seen for a while(talent wise that is) and yet they are sucking hard.

So another lecture from you? I actually did not criticize him, try again.

He owes the Panthers big time.... blah blah blah. It’s done and dusted, May is here to stay.

You only feel like it’s “another lecture” because you keep whining about it.

If Staines maintains even a portion of the form from his debut then Sauce is (sadly) going to be warming the bench when To'o comes back. I think he could be a decent backrower or even centre but we have many less risky options in those positions too. Shame because he's been a quality servant for the club.

Whare's kids go to my kids school and pretty much he is resigned to going to England next year

You need to have better options before you can get rid guys. I am not counting a one off game too.. I am yet to see anything from Staines yet to show he is better over the course of a 24 game season. I am all for improving the team when the time is right

He is yet to show he is better because he has only played one game(though he did as much as anyone could in that one game). You have to pick him for him to show he is better. If it turns out he has some weaknesses that need work then fine but he has to play to prove himself either way. We've got a first choice winger out for a weeks still so we should get a good look at him.

Where did I say not to pick him? The question is does he make the full strength team. Too soon to answer that yet. He should play every game until To'o is back though

Him making the full strength side depends on his next few games I think. If he can play well and grab his chance then i wouldnt drop him, he adds a genuine speed threat.

No doubt about the speed. Defence, Metres gained etc is the test

Since the topic of Tyorne May has come up again I'll ask this:

Has he not repaid the faith?

He's come in as a bench utility which is generally disliked by players without complaint, he's played multiple positions as needed from centre to second row and lock. He hasn't been making errors or giving away penalties but has multiple try assists and is doing his job defensively. Seems to me he's more than earned his position on the team.

I also can't fault him for there being no reserve grade to come back through. If he was to earn anything it has to be done at training and in games.

Whining is all you do on here, the irony of you telling anyone on here to harden up, is not lost on me.
It causes me no angst and you have a very weird sense of humour. Might explain the majority of your posts.

Mate, you could literally tilt at this particular windmill for hours and get absolutely no where.

It's a case of, make some weird and stupid comment, wait for someone to point out how it's completely and utterly wrong, then attack that person and claim you're being "bullied" with all the air of one of those annoying f**king Karens who look for shit to be outraged about.

It's just pathetic really. Nothing of value is added to the conversation from her. It's best to just have her on ignore and enjoy trying to decipher what dumb shit she's said from the replies :)

There is an interview with Naden and he says it is very hard on those guys not in the side because you have no way to show the coach where you sit form wise.. So if they know that. There is no point keeping May there
