There is simply no excuse for today's performance and I seriously do not want to listen to BA's bullshit press conference.
If we were a smart club, we would act immediately because our coach will never win us a premiership.
Why on earth we gave him another 2 years I'll never know.
Yes, the players need to take some blame as well but today's loss was all about our mentality approaching the game, and that is the coaches job. In this respect, he fails time after time.
I've had enough of watching these insipid performances against the shite teams.
Us premiership contenders? Lol. Not under Arthur's watch.

I think there’s something to this. Arthur’s gameplan has always been for big go-forward (‘chasing the collision’) and getting it to the halves to distribute (‘stick to our structures’). Mahoney’s game has always been a little bit hard to shoehorn into that, but it’s become worse this season. He’s overplaying his hand, and is trying to call the shots too much instead of getting it to Moses primarily to distribute. As poor as their service often was, Pritchard and De Gois used to do just that.

I am at the point where I honestly think we might be better off without him next year, but the concern there is that Hodgson has always tried to be a playmaker from dummy half instead of just distributing.
Spot on. Mahoney shit slow service, passing shit crash balls and then 7 or so metres back is plain utter garbage. When he kicked for himself at the end of the 1st half you could've been forgiven for thinking he's already playing for them. I honestly prefer JMK over Mahoney. Mahoney is way overrated

Wow what a complete joke we are.

What are the excuses this time?

One of the most pathetic performances from a first grade Eels team I've witnessed. Whats the go with their attitude? Seriously what a farce.

NO FU*KEN EXCUSES!!!

THIS, thank you.

reporter asked him you can beat Storm and Penrith but isn’t it the coaches job to get them up for games and he didn’t answer the question. Just gave a generic answer

just not good enough. The cattle is there but the structures or tactics are very lacking. We seriously need to ask the questions.
“Our defensive structures are fine and we can score points whenever we need too”

Our fearless leader said that this year, what a laugh Bea should be stand up.

It's 2022 ffs. Coaches don't build sides, they get who they can afford. The recruitment/retention committee decides who to prioritise.

But coaches develop the strategy and tactics for the side they have and this powerful, lazy pack needs to maximise runs while minimising tackles. That requires completing our sets, which isn't what happened today. 73% completion rate ffs. It was less than 70% in the first half. The merkins ran out there and did their own thing. They deserved this result, and so do the rest of you deathriding merkins.

Nah. Coaches would have a huge say on who they want to keep and who they feel isn't that important. If the people having out contracts aren't discussing with coach then we've got huge issues.
It's not death riding. It is pointing out glaring flaws. We look a side on the slide to me not on the way up. Just how I see it.

At least when we won our spoons a few seasons ago, our excuse was that our roster was garbage.

What's the excuse now?

We have a side with 3 current Origin players, 3 former Origin reps, and plenty of talent.

Plus, it's BA's side.

What's the excuse now?

Don't worry, the apologists will find plenty. It's their job ffs!
