So in next 7yrs he'd need to get to week 3 x 4 times, Make 2 GFs and win one.
Well Ricky Stuart has achieved all that across his career, but the wins and losses haven’t been distributed equally between the clubs. Do you think it’s coincidence that he won his premiership at the Roosters and his spoon at Parramatta? He won his first six finals matches in a row at the Roosters. At Parra he couldn’t win six games in a season.

There’s 100% still room for the Juniors of the game. The problem isn’t having big power forwards. The problem is having your game plan revolve around using those big power forwards but then on game day we decide we’ll try and go around the outside instead

Jnr annoys me when he passes to often. Especially early in the game. His focus had to be 140mtrs a game and focus on offloads when we are on attack, chasing points or 30mins to go. He has to many games where he is pass first and run 2nd. It's predictable.

In 2009 when we went on a great run we always set the tone by playing tough hard footy for the first half before we would open up our attack.

I think you need both tbh.

Anyway, a lot of the conversation after the loss has been about our poor game plan but I don’t think our game plan is the main problem.

Losses like Monday’s invariably happen because of lack of effort, particularly defence.

The Dogs played their best game all year but we made them look a whole lot better than they were because we took soft options.

The criticism of BA for giving the players time off was interesting. He’s heard previous criticism about flogging them too hard and seems to want us fresh at the end of the year.

Sadly, though the players probably confirmed his original thinking by not being on the job after a break. He’ll think twice about doing that again.

True. I guess players know they aren't going to be dropped so have the occasional easy day.
I remember when B.Smith would drop 2 or 3 of our top shelf players if they where playing soft just to shake them up. BA never rewards NSW CUP players.

Rodwell has been busting his balls every game. Surely he should be rewarded over Makatoa or Kafusi. And yes I know this isn't making any difference on results but it shows guys your on notice.
We should have atleast 3 NSW cup players who should be in and out of our side if our best 17 play soft.

How did our NSW cup team go on the weekend?

I'm asking you the question, not the other way around.
Well you asked a subjective question, so I needed clarification. When you can tell me when Ricky Stuart’s sample of finals games was large enough to reliably indicate his ability, you should have your answer on how large Arthur’s sample should be.

Him giving them 5 days off says to me he also took the Dogs lightly. We were analed accordingly. I’ll be disappointed if the team don’t come out breathing fire against the Chooks.
Can we expect roast chook for dinner? I've have some baked spuds, peas and gravy with mine, thanks.

Yep. The fact that we lose to last place teams so often suggests it is probably not just the players who take the bottom team lightly. There must be something in the way they are prepared.

What does it matter if they’re running last or 12th?
WTF! If you require him to be as specific as you're implying, you're a pedant. His point is, we frequently get beaten by teams considerably lower than us in the table (let alone in turmoil). Our coach is not able to get a motivated performance from his squad over the course if a season. Its blindingly obvious.

I’m on the side of the naysayers there though. It’s part of BAs job to make sure they don’t be lazy merkins. It’s not the first time it’s happened. Not even the first time this year.
No arguments from me. I’m definitely not suggesting that BA is faultless.

Maybe he read all the comments on here saying we are premiership contenders.
