Depends what you class as failure. Is it a failure not to win the comp every year? Every five years? Once a decade?
I'd say 1 in 16 years

I completely understand the shareholders vs stakeholders. It was all part of the original analogy around 42 pages back… I can’t even remember where we started…Don't confuse shareholders with stakeholders. The only shareholder of the Parramatta Eels is the Parramatta Leagues Club and under the current Parra Eels Board and management, the Leagues Club has stopped having to hand over few million $ every year.
When can we expect the sample size to be big enough? The point is, it’s only mediocrity from the perspective of people with unrealistic expectations of our team (i.e. passionate fans). Arthur’s record has been pretty good, and only looking at finals in isolation does it look bad. But the board and CEO are smart people and they would be aware that judging eight games out of a couple hundred is a very poor way to make decisions. It is such a small sample, and only has meaning when dopes apply a narrative.
This is sports entertainment, so narratives are a big part of the product, and dopes are a significant part of the target market. You can expect blame narratives from the media. But rational decision makers should be avoiding those sorts of assessments.
Better than one every 36 years, or is that being too optimistic? I know your okay with, though most normal people are not, you actually sound like that dickwaad sarantinoDepends what you class as failure. Is it a failure not to win the comp every year? Every five years? Once a decade?
I was showing how your question was stupid.Question was after 9 years of failure. But you can’t answer it, you pose more questions to deflect. Typical coward poupou. King of the deflection. Don’t bother replying, we know where you are heading into meaningless confusing comments where you don’t make sense.
Agreed. So he should get another seven?I'd say 1 in 16 years
Well as an example, Ricky Stuart won 7 from his first 8 finals matches. At what point was his record representative of his skill as a coach? When can we expect the sample size to be big enough?
Remember when our coach told us all we’d have a team to be each and every week?? His second week we got smashed by almost 50 if I remember.Yet the thrashings continue. Thats the point Twiz. One constant remains though.
Well that’s great to know, that’s the main thing. As long as the leagues club is doing well who really cares about the team. That’s not what we are all invested in!!Don't confuse shareholders with stakeholders. The only shareholder of the Parramatta Eels is the Parramatta Leagues Club and under the current Parra Eels Board and management, the Leagues Club has stopped having to hand over few million $ every year.
If just 2 finals wins and a spoon in 9 years isn’t a big enough sample size lets double down and give Bea another 10 years just to be sure. We don’t want to do anything to hasty……..Well as an example, Ricky Stuart won 7 from his first 8 finals matches. At what point was his record representative of his skill as a coach?

Clubs who are supposed to be premiership contenders don’t get thrashed by the team coming last.and that never happens to other clubs ? the Storm got belted a few weeks back
do you seriously expect any club could go 9 years without any thrashings ?
Well we are f**ked if that’s the case. Not sure there is any other way to play them.forwards look broken. Not sure they can sustain bash and barge for great success.

Absolutelylol, are you referring to us as premiership contenders ?
When the Storm get flogged 34-4 at full strength by the team running last get back to us.and that never happens to other clubs ? the Storm got belted a few weeks back
do you seriously expect any club could go 9 years without any thrashings ?
Can't say that I doRemember when our coach told us all we’d have a team to be round of each and every week??
