Issue is , looks like there is not a lot of room in the salary cap, and no decent players available . Difficult to make the sort of changes needed, big calls have to be made and not sure currently we have the people in that position to do it.

Gus certainly has the ear of player managers which is a big advantage when that needs to be done, us not so much if at all
Don’t forget, even with Gus’s connections the Bulldogs went into last season with Hayze Perham as their first choice fullback.

Sometimes in a rebuild (which we definitely need a partial one) you have to take the short term pain to free up the cap/develop a proper replacement.

The funny thing is it felt like we controlled the majority of the game: had the better field Position and possession but then could not convert and then our defence is so vunerable.

I don't. He's a 5/8 or centre.
Serious question, why don’t you think he would kill it at 1? He has a great running game, can cart the ball into traffic, has speed, some ball playing ability and an excellent one on one defender, particularly cover defence. All these attributes are what fullbacks need.

Have we ever had a game before where both our wingers started the year in Ron Massey cup?
Thought Lorenzo had a dig, but we desperately need some outside back depth for next year

He's a 5'8 mate. That's my opinion.

If anyone is watching the Dragons game you see having hard running second rowers with lateral movement is essential.

Doorey and Matto are not the answer.
I think Doorey is that style, he’s just not as capable but every f**ken one else are all lateral movement

Barrett is super proud as we showed guts and brought up that the titans scored 66 two weeks ago… like we had been successful by losing by only 8…

Gutho said he thought Lane was great tonight.

no wonder we are f**ked….

Once again beaten by simple, training run tries. Three in the first 20 minutes!

We just don't have the skill or speed to match it with anyone at the moment.

On a positive note, if Ryles can get a few new faces next year and improve our defence I don't think we are that far away from significant moves up the ladder.
