Looks like our attack close to the tryline is Gutho or bust going forward. In hindsight it's been like that even earlier in the year.

Obviously creating some options around him is how we're going to have to do it.

For the last two months, Gutho hasn't really gotten much ball in the attacking 20 metre zone; it's been all Moses, and we have struggled.

I reckon our key to our attack, moving forward, is to give Gutho more ball in the 20 metre zone - he's creating plenty.

How is Field a half? He has no idea.
I hate Dill Smith and he offers more. Jai Field i'm not sure what he does????

Just as well we are playing one of the most gutless teams of all time, that first 20 mins was horrific. Hopefully we go one with it and can get some sort of confidence. Mahoney has made a massive difference, its amazing what an actual dummy half can do.

He is hopeless. Good support player is all. Id rather a big body in Taka but hope to see W.Smith on soon.

Not with a passing or kicking game alone. He needs to engage his markers and introduce a running game.

He's been running a bit lately, and looking good.

He actually engaged the markers against the Warriors quite a bit, and gave our team space.

He's class.

He wouldn't have helped us beat Penrith, because we had no ball - but he will be elite in a few years' time. I have no doubt about that.

He's shown he can definitely become elite, imo.

You must look at progress. In 2019 Mahoney rarely kicked. He added this to his game in 2020. He also was missing 5-6 tackles a game. That is gone.
This improvement was great but he needed to add a running game. I was worried if he didn't he would be a one trick one. In under 20s his running game was dynamic. It could be the coach kept things simple for him as eased into NRL and is slowly letting him unleash his full game.
Time will tell. I also thought the same about Tepai who was an attacking weapon with great offloads in 20s.....

The way Panthers with a heap rested tore the ass out of the Cowboys up in Qld shows how solid we played last week tbh.
Storm struggled to beat Cowboys.

He used to do that in 20's, is it being coached out of him???? We all know how Bea Arthur has absolutely no respect to what a dummy half can offer a side.

As usual, great points.

I've noticed he has steadily added more strings to his bow in First Grade, and we are a better team for it.

Gutho has mainly played left on attacking formations all year, I don't think he passes left to right all that well, whereas right to left he's very good.

With Drown out we've lost a lot of that threat on the left, so the king hasn't had the space. Good to see him having some luck down the right, combining with Moses, despite his form is our best shot. Notice though Moses has run more, that's creating space for the King.

Mitch Moses has been ok but still overplays his hand. I can't think of to many games where he doesn't do atleast one ridiculous pass. Needs to eliminate this from game.
