The coaching staff obviously have zero faith in two players in the 17 tonight. 10 minutes for Makatoa, and 5 for the son.

I'm of the view that the discarding of Nathan Brown in the way it has been done has impacted the playing group also.

Unless there is something else in the background we are unaware of Brown has been treated disgracefully. Dropping him to force him to sign elsewhere is akin to bullying.

Defence is about attitude. The attitude has been appalling all year.

I suspect the players for whatever reason have lost faith in what they've previously believed.

My impression is that there is something wrong with our leadership structure. It looks like the guys designated as leaders aren't actually respected by the group, like I suspect the case is with gutherson. Having him as the main guy or teacher's pet could easily lead to disharmony and lack of effort. The way he spoke about Mahoney having an easy job last week and just needs to do what he's told really spoke volumes to me. Moses has been similarly dismissive. At the very least there is a lack of respect there. Anyway, bugger.

We’re a team that hasn’t had a genuine leader for a quarter century. The thing about Gutherson previously was that he seemed to always be the guy putting in. Looking at him at the moment, he seems afraid of contact, his attack has gone to shit, and he’s become shockingly unsafe at the back. If he’s putting in those sort of efforts, and has the gall to spray his teammates when they make errors themselves, how could there not be disharmony?

If he’s done anything remotely wrong, he would of been sacked. They just want him off the books.

The players have given up on front loading and chasing collisions. What’s easier change the coach or players??? We will struggle to make the 8 from here. Surely the people in charge need to be looking at other options or they should be f**king of as well.

That Reynolds try off Gutherson's kick return f**k up in the 70th minute is unforgivable.

Guth should offer to be dropped to Wenty for that - even if we don't have the cattle to replace him, making the offer in front of the locker room might earn him some respect amongst his teammates.

I don't know anything but I'm convinced there's more to it. It's not our go. And doing it to free up money to keep Papa who somehow has to successfully renege on his contract is even less likely.
