How is it any different to the Roosters getting pumped by Newcastle in round one? There's always upsets early in the season. Stop being such f**king sooks about it.
Seriously? The Roosters played shit in Round one. That was an aberration. Thats why they lost. We actually played quite well on Saturday. Not sure we can play much better than that. That is the concern.

We defended poorly. We controlled the ball well, but the game is about more than just that.

We defended very poorly, so many one out misses that shouldn't have been one out, and a heap of times where first up contact doesn't quite stick and no efforts made for the second and third defender to get in there and finish. Our middle tightened up in the second half with Nrown and Stone on, but our edges were still poor, and it looked to me the problem was all effort and concentration, we just didn't have our head in the game defensively.

It was strange and unusual. The effort has generally been there of late.

maybe we are pacing ourselves.

go for a later run like Manly did last year.

In the trials, we did these scrum base moves like the panthers. Where did they go?

Well maybe that's what BA is doing. I doubt it though based on our defence.

Defending well isn't risky. It just takes commitment and effort. If we had started the year with some defensive intensity we'd be top of table.
