Agree with everything written here.
Jenko time to go. Curtis Scott perfect replacement. Scott was also a fullback in the lower grades so you get insurance cover there. Backups for wing centre would be Ethan Parry and George Jennings. Taka can still do a job there.
Fifita as above. Give him $900k - $1m a season.
Alvaro did play well last night but we can do better.
I would be doing everything to get 2 props.
Jai Arrow and RCG. Francis Molo goes alright too.
Danny Levi would be a great acquisition and rotate with Mahoney and at times on the field together.
I would also be looking at Jack Gosiewski as a Mau replacement if we cant land Fifita.
2nd row options could be Niukore, Gosiewski, Davey, Faingaa.
I don't think we are that far off being a really top side.
Smart recruitment takes us next level i.e top 4.

Arrow wants 900k a season. Good player but that's a ridiculous amount and he isn't worth that much. Middles are the most overpaid players in a squad currently. Started with the dogs giving Fifita 800k a few years back and the market hasn't returned to normal since.

I really my rate Utoikamanu, and Kaufusi...but come on, guys!

Utoikamanu literally just turned 19 three months ago, and Kaufusi is just a pup himself.

Just because David Fifita and Payne Hass are guns at 19...

I agree that others comparing every young player to Haas and Fifita are dumb and it's a false equivalence. But Stefano should've been still given a go earlier. Our bench outside of Niukore has lacked impact and that's where we start to lose ground after Paulo and Evans go off. You basically can't give him a go now just before the finals but 3-4 games 2 months ago would've been ideal. Hindsight is wonderful.

Tim Mannah would've also provided similar impact off the bench, like him or not you have to recognise that Tim gets to work as soon as he's on the field.

I'm a fan of Stefano, Oregon, Parry & Fainga'a.
But if you go to Wenty you will see how many opposition tries are scored off the back of their defensive errors. Not getting their bodies in front and arm grabbing. Look back at the highlight videos and you will see. Take into account the stuff you don't see that happened the tackle before to give the opposition field position.
I would expect that the coaching staff want to see a month of good footy before they are considered.
I don't care about reserve grade competitions so I am happy to see them learn in this grade and see the follow on affects of the same thing happening at flegg level.
Parry only got a run because we were short on outside backs and as long as there are more experienced players in front of the others they will be chosen.
Having said that if a home final is guaranteed this weekend I'd like to see Stefano get a run last round.
Consider too that Cooper Cronk played 40 reserve grade games before he played first grade there is no need to rush anybody

Alvaro: not a lock. Best suited for a 17 benchie. Played fair.
Terapo: did not cone of the back fence. Quiet game this week
Gower: did not like the fast line speed. It disrupted his late footwork. Madehim ineffective.
Unfortunately these comments you could copy and paste for the last few months. Same with Moeroa. Bench needs big change and don't offer lack of experience as an excuse. Other teams can introduce young players and not suffer, remember both Haas and Fifita are both only 19 yo. BA has shown in the past a stubborn streak by sticking with out of form players for far too long, this time it could cost him his job. Time for BA to be proactive, not a word particularly applicable to BA.

A smart coach might really help too. BA gets caught in a rut far too often. His sticking with the current bench is a case in point. Everyone can see a huge problem except him apparently. Their lack of impact is costing us games especially against the stronger sides, and we're now playing the strong sides from now on.

We need someone to replace Manu. Nikuore is ok but not anything to get excited about.
Niukore just needs to fix a few little things to be good. A step/shuffle just before the line would help and develop a offload/pass in the offseason will really improve him.

I agree.

Mannah should have been given a go.

And I think Utoikamanu should have been given a go ages ago, but I'm sure Arthur has his reasons why he has not played him.

Really?

Because he has so far:

* signed Foran, Scott, Lane, Ferguson, etc.

* given Maika Sivo a fair go

* given Dylan Brown a fair go

* given Marata Niukore a fair go

I know he isn't popular, but come on - he has shown he will give players a go, when they earn it.

Stefano missed the first 9 weeks.
He needed atleast 12 games in Nsw cup before nrl. Perhaps a go in rnd 20 but that was a time where games where very important.
We blooded Parry,Brown and Sivo this year.
Last year Kafusi,Stone,Mahoney,Nikuore,Salmon
And next year I reckon Stefano might be the only one with the others all getting more time.
9 in 3yrs is a decent effort. Panthers had 7 this year and it shows. Easier to blood guys when getting beaten.
If we can have 2-3 juniors getting a run each year and debut then we are in a healthy position.

So what is the go with Mannah??

dropped after that Penrith loss in Rd 11 and not seen since

Surely he comes into the side with a clear role, no captaincy pressure or stress to worry about
experienced campaigner, tough middle 3rd defender, and better meter eater than a couple of others we keep picking. Why dont we pick our best 17?

Whatever issue that is around needs to be sorted out pronto. I think he would rip in big time , and we need it.

I'd like to see N.Brown,Stone and Mannah in.
Happy to drop Alvaro,Gower and Terepo.
I want some mongrel and heart. These 3 just have more then the other 3.
Growers looked ordinary the last 4 weeks.

Brown and Stone have 'loose cannon' traits in their respective resumes. One maybe, but not both in the 17 at the same time. Mannah? Well, I feel there's some underlying issues that we're not privy to know about, as supporters. The real answer is not an easy one as 5 of the 6 you mentioned have shown inconsistent form during this entire season. The other, Stone, needs to decide whether he's a rissole or a fillet steak.

Well next week game means nothing. Mannah should get a send off.
5th or 6th is irrelevant. We won't know who play anyhows.
Stone and Browns aggression would be excellent.

They'd probably punch each other out while spending time in the bin.
