I’d break the bank to get Fifita. He would completely revitalise our pack. The kid has superstar written all over him.

I regards to Jenko, he’s coming back from a knee injury isn’t he? He’s lost some pace but that could be also to do with the injury. If we sign him on the right deal, I don’t have an issue. Curtis Scott would be ideal however.

I seem to be in the minority who thought Alvaro was decent last night. BA got it right starting him.
Agree with everything written here.
Jenko time to go. Curtis Scott perfect replacement. Scott was also a fullback in the lower grades so you get insurance cover there. Backups for wing centre would be Ethan Parry and George Jennings. Taka can still do a job there.
Fifita as above. Give him $900k - $1m a season.
Alvaro did play well last night but we can do better.
I would be doing everything to get 2 props.
Jai Arrow and RCG. Francis Molo goes alright too.
Danny Levi would be a great acquisition and rotate with Mahoney and at times on the field together.
I would also be looking at Jack Gosiewski as a Mau replacement if we cant land Fifita.
2nd row options could be Niukore, Gosiewski, Davey, Faingaa.
I don't think we are that far off being a really top side.
Smart recruitment takes us next level i.e top 4.

And i would be saying bye to Gower too.
Has served us well but we have enough experience now. Playing Gower in the top 17 next year is stalling progress of up and comers like Stefano and Kaufusi.

One other thing that has annoyed the f*** out of me the last few weeks is we RARELY ever pressure the kicker. Happens to us, but we don't do it ourselves. It's those little 1%ers that can turn a game.

Yep I’ve noticed that too in the last few weeks. It’s completely an attitude thing.
Attitude has always been an issue with our club.

We have had a shit attitude in that respect all year. Watch when we put a kick through, every now and then we chase hard but generally they just jog down with absolutely no enthusiasm.

We rarely have a good 5th tackle run to put teams on the back foot so they can’t get off the line quick to smash Moses and generally the pass to him his slower than any other pass we throw in the game. Of course teams watch that shit and know they’ve got a great chance to put pressure on our last tackle play. This has been a problem with the club for a very long time.

That is what pisses me off and I’m angry all the time, if they increase their energy and attitude by even 10 to 20% they are easily a top 4 side. So watching them not show the urgency in simple situations has cost us multiple games this year and last night was one of those games and last week.

I believe we have the talent of a top 4 team with the attitude of a bottom 4 team.

If he signs on for next year he will be great depth, but i am baffled that we have had chances to give Stefano and Oregon more chances this year and nothing.

If they see them as our future and we had the gap between us and 7th and 8th for so long we had the chance to put them in cause we lost 2 winnable games anyways and it was obvious to everyone we’d shit the bed in those games so put them in and we still lose but at least you see something!

I really my rate Utoikamanu, and Kaufusi...but come on, guys!

Utoikamanu literally just turned 19 three months ago, and Kaufusi is just a pup himself.

Just because David Fifita and Payne Hass are guns at 19...
I mentioned the other day that it may be more than form holding some young players back... and this is kinda one of the things i was referring to.

Just because other clubs have managed to successfully debut some 18 year olds in the forwards, doesn't mean ours are ready.

Klein is a muppet, but that touch judge is at another level. Stood there just before half time when the ball was knocked out of play by the Donkeys right in front of him, made a gesture and said nothing. That led to the penalty which put the Broncos up by 8, when the feed was ours and inside their 20.

Then somehow he called the pass to Fego forward, even the dopes who cream themselves over the donkeys like Walters and others were amazed, Gus who don't like us called it a wrong call.

Those moments did as much to turn the game as much as Moses missing goal kicks, BA should bring attention to those moments and hopefully gain ground with the refs.

Small things turn games when playing the donkeys, those mistakes were howlers that cost momentum and points.

I totally agree.

And I know that Utoikamanu, and Kaufusi, are getting a lot out of warming up with the Firsts team, and training with them.

Utoikamanu and Kaufusi will spend a bit of time in First Grade in 2020, and will be mainstays in our pack in 2021.

But for now, let's all please be patient.

If Brisbane played like they did last night every week they'd be pushing for a top 4 spot. It was easily one of the best games they have played all year.

Not sure what you watched, but I didn’t think they weren’t much chop.

He needs another option to give clean ball to when rushed at by defence on 5th.

Like previously stated, Brown is
Getting the ball flat footed very often. He’s a very easy target for the opposition and placing a lot of pressure on his outside men and in particular his halves partner. If teams continue to rush him, his kicking game could prove to be a huge asset. If he can take his running game to the next level, he’ll become elite. But as it stands, his flat footed game is a worry.

Like I said before, if roosters had kept MJ, they’d lose Mitchell. He is way past it and only getting worse. Surely there’s better options.

Cant rely on you merkins for anything can we?

The only reliable constant is M.Moses melting under pressure. Dammit.

You just said you can't rely on us for anything and then highlighted something you can rely on us for. That's not particularly smart.

We shit the bed in pressure situations this year when ? We clawed our way back to 16 all. Teams that shit the bed don’t do that. They dug deep and threw it around. I thought we played great.

Can we improve? Hell yes. So many times movements broke down, where they would have stuck earlier in the year.

Brisbane were tough and offered great line speed. Most importantly that line speed restricted our field position. The game was played in the middle third for most of the match and that frustrated us.

Brisbane also exploited the new interpretations with hands on the ball in the ruck with the new stripping rule. Despite us throwing something like 18 offloads we could've had a lot more, and faster play the balls, if the refs were still blowing penalties for hands on the ball.

I reckon we're waiting for that option. We saw it in glimpses at the start of the year and early last night that when we give Dylan the ball on the last he has a mile of time and space as the defence is rushing in on Moses.

Dyl put in a kick that was inside the opp 10. It wasn't fancy and it wasn't an attacking kick but it was controlled and allowed us to have a set defensive line. When it comes to the game we could be giving Dyl the ball on the last 5-8 times per game and the opposition will have to choose who to rush.
