It's not luck if you're creating more opportunities to put up bombs. If it's a 4 or 5 to 1 chance that means you're averaging a try for every four or five bombs you put up. Pretty good odds. Plus the opposition might make a mistake trying to defuse it, so even if you don't score you can build pressure. Over 80 minutes it's a good tactic. Over a season it's a no brainer. It's no coincidence the premiers are always one of the best kicking teams.

No one said it isn't a good tactic, Hindy was just pointing out that being able to bamboozle and prise open a strong defensive structure with ball in hand is the mark of a team that have mastered their offensive abilities more so then the lottery that kicks can be even when you have great kickers in the team.

Our ineptness with the ball in hand when in the red zone surely troubles even you? You can't be that blinkered, can you? And don't give me stats on this one, this is more then just stats. They can only tell a partial story. Observation is crucial here and the calibre of defenses and what we did with the ball.

Not all that hard to understand is it mate.

A ref might not see it for many reasons, but where was the bunker? Was there a break in transmission at that instance? A black out? $2m spent to miss the bleeding obvious, but agonise and watch over and over and over again if a micro-nail touches a ball for a knock on deflection. Who are these people that the NRL hires as experts and professionals? Even my 93 year old, going blind mother in law could do a better job at times.

Really ordinary. He should have been sent off, just like that bone head for the Knights was in the game before. Instant dismissal was more then warranted. Why do the Storm seem to more times then not get away with their dirty and foul play?
The bunker saw it, NAS was put on report after awhile, but somehow determined it wasn’t binnable. Worked out for us though because it was NAS’s dumb melon heading through the assist for Stone’s 1st

Mahoney is slow but. He takes off slow and top speed is slow. Also not a powerfull runner. Even when he runs out of dummy half and there is a gap he doesn't often turn it into a whole lot. He still needs to run more but can never be a cook, korisau etc. His body doesn't allow it.

Hands is dynamite out of hooker. Just no idea if his defense is NRL level or other parts of his game. His short kick game also excellent and a very good attacking pass game. Unsure on general service.

Anyone can see that Melbourne destroyed Mahoney ran straight over him all night. They always do. He's a shitt defender big heart but easily exploited

Just got an update from the nrl app..
I'm stunned...

Judiciary Report: Barnett referred; NAS, Fotuaika charged https://www.nrl.com/news/2022/03/13/juduciary-report-all-the-latest-charges/

In the later matches, Storm forward Nelson Asofa-Solomona (high tackle - careless) and Titans prop Moeaki Fotuaika (dangerous contact) face fines if they take early guilty pleas after being cited by the match review committee.

Asofa-Solomona was charged with a grade one high tackle on Eels forward Makahesi Makatoa while Fotuaika's incident involved Raiders hooker Tom Starling.

Blatant, deliberate. Smashed an unprotected head of an opponent. How that's not 2-3 weeks is unbelievable..and the grub has a history of being a grub. I know that's been wiped this year.
Now Su'a gets one week and he gets nothing. What's worse? The hit on Makatoa for sure

OMG. Thats not close to borderline. Disgusting decision. I note there was also absolutely no mention of the incident on this mornings Footy Show. Im guessing there will be little mention elsewhere either. Mind blowing.

Who gives a f**k if he should’ve been suspended or not? He should’ve been in bin. Still remember when the rule 1st came in and it was only Eels players it applied to.
At least the game has moved on a bit and now it’s just Scums it doesn’t apply to.

How true. I always have said that once those big 4 cheaters all retired, Bellamy will never find GOAT cheaters like that again. The cheaters he has now are second level cheaters, great at it, but not GOATS like the previous lot. So Bellamy's coaching will slip a little as would be expected.

The number one cheating coach in the NRL will want to retire soon no doubt leaving his greatest legacy as the man more responsible then any other individual to have flaunted/broken/cheated the rules more then any other to the point of forcing the NRL to constantly change rules to counter his merkin cheating ways, all but ruining the game as a spectacle in the process.

Sucked in Bellyache you deserved that loss more then anyone else. I hope you never, ever win anything of significance again.

Am I bitter much? You betcha. 36 years and counting and a whole heap of shit wrestling games along the way we all have had to endure and sit through. What a blight on the game he has been and some like Matty Johns put him on a pedestal. What an insult to all the millions of fans that that man has duded over the years.

Trophies don't make the man. Your behaviour and actions along the way do and his melt downs in the coaching box tells us all how he feels about failure and therefore the lengths he will go to for success. Is anyone then surprised that he would manipulate the rules to the point of virtually disregarding them and getting the game and outcome he desires? Not a hero in my eyes. Just a old and cranky zero.

Biggest cheating dickwad of all time...In my opinion.
His 'win at all costs' attitude is so f**king juvenile. He's like a petulant child when he doesn't win.

✅ As much as Melbourne's relentless pressure caused errors (their 1%er efforts), it was our 1%ers that got us the win. It's a pity that many here don't see that. They think that our errors were caused by our shit players and shit coach.

Such a dark mindset to have when you should be enjoying a win and the fact that we are a team now that even with a growing list of injuries, we show the resilience needed to be the real deal.
Yep. Putting shit on your own team is just the flipside of refusing to give the opposition any credit. It's a loser mentality. For loosers.

He does have an ordinary kicking game. But you're right that he's a utility. Like a smaller, faster Latrell Mitchell. Actually Mitchell has a better kicking game.
