I think communication, structure and a good kicking long kicking game probably cost us a win again the tigers. Whilst the end scoreboard looking horrible, the tigers were there for the taking in the first 20mins, and had we scored a couple of tries in that period they don’t get the wind in their sails and our heads don’t drop.

Hawkins goes a long way to fixing some of those issues, and I’m hoping beyond hope that his inclusion unlocks Dylan to do something, and creates some space for Iongi.

JAC brings communication and attitude/energy.

Dogs rely heavily on Burton’s kicking game, and Kikau’s edge defence and runs.

it won’t be easy by any means, but there is a damn good chance if we show up with energy and directness we can win it. The titans show’d last night how speed of play and intent can get results.

Will be good to see what Hawkins brings... but I don't think it will be hugely more than Volkman
It realistically should be 10x what Volkman brings. Volkman is not a 7, he’s a 5/8th and was brought to the club as a backup for Dylan. Expecting a running half with a limited kicking game to direct a team having not played in nearly 18 months and only 4 games to his name was never going to work.
Hawkins is a genuine organising 7 with a great boot. He has 20 odd first grade games under his belt and won cup player of the year a couple of years back.

I'll be watching keenly, and hoping for some positive skills on display.

However, being an unmotivated pack phoning it in to again be beaten in the middle by people with no player options who want to win, it likely won't matter.

I just want to see some ticker and backbone. Some fight. Players looking like they wanna be out there. I’m hoping having an actual halfback playing along with a talker in JAC will bring some improvement because at the moment, we’re looking like the 1998 Magpies.

I’ve seen nothing the last two weeks to indicate anything other than Dogs by 30+.

Ton of dogs supporters here iim afraid, outnumbered easily

We got a right old booing when we came on for warmup

Dogs got a huge cheer

Depressing really , feels like an away game

Just proves how potential and optimism can enlighten the hopes of a fan base.
Both us and the Dogs have the largest fan bases in Sydney.
They have hope at the moment and we are currently playing like we are spoon fave's.

Was raining a little earlier , deck looks ok

Might be a bit heavy, divets everywhere

Dogs warm up looks great, imitating a mini game as part of the process

How the f**k did it take us this long not to have that kit in a contemporary design.

That is dead set, the BEST looking kit I’ve seen since… well 86.

Bravo Parramatta.

Ouch , my daughter sitting next to me at the ground, didn’t realise Lussick was starting, she’s ready to go home already. Not a popular 9, just prove everyone wrong is what we need today
