Paulo is often a barometer for how we play. When he gets into soft cock pass mode the whole team looks disjointed and starts taking short cuts . When he runs hard the rest of the team follows and plays the roles.
Completely agree...the problem we have with this club is as soon as someone off the pace or not on their game, it seems to influence/impact others...this is a true lack of leadership

I thought that on such a stinker of a hot day forward rotation is epic and having someone like Hoppy who can play huge minutes at a high level would have been a better option.
Anyways, I guess I'm more upset with the fact he was my captain in Fantasy Coach so no double points for me :(

He was used more as a half today, when he does that we always struggle.

The coach agreed:

We took the Tigers lightly and lost by a point. A good wake up call for the Canberra trip.
We have taken the Tigers lightly on Easter Monday for 4 years straight.

Clearly the message isn't getting through

When a front rower [Paulo] acts as a playermaker from a set piece scrum play and throws a long pass over Sivo and into touch....well that will do me.

It is more we had so much ball, a 10-3 penalty count, them down to 12 men for 10 mins, at home and against one of the favourites for wooden spoon. Had it been a top 8 side or even a fringe top 8 side it's not so bad a result.
Lose next week to Canberra and may as well call it season over.

That's the shoulda' won part, had it been a top eight side I wouldn't have bothered.

Anyways, we could all piss our pants over it, or.....not.

Our top 20 odd is good enough to win a premiership, but only if shit goes our way and we don't have injuries to key players like Moses' one now. We don't have the depth in the squad, for mine it really is that simple.

Moretti and Kier are great players for their price!

Awesome recruiting not having them in front of some other players last year
Moretti is on the development contract $$...like I think $80k or whatever it is...
In fairness Joe O played well today...he should've started..and if Matto is more aggressive than Hopgood than I'm a fkn astronaut

Also, how the f**k did we not know who our goal kicker was? Russell was the only one practicing in the warm up. Took the first kick from the corner and missed. Sacked then Gutho took over. Surely that’s something that gets decided during the week. Why give Russell the duties if u r going to sack him after one sideline miss? Complete lack of leadership from the coach and players.

We just don't have the smarts to win it all. You listen to the BA press conference and all he talks about is toughness. Yes, an important part of the game but for BA it's the only part of the game.
BA is still coaching like it it's Rouse Hill Rhinos or Cairns Brothers.

Look it's gets you a 52% winning record and finals most years in the NRL but you need tactical smarts to win a comp something BA has proven he doesn't have.

I agree joe had a ok game today it was probably because he was playing his old team...

Moretti is playing better than the money he is on. Just shows our club is pretty crap at identification.

I don't think BA watches games and uses it to be a better coach...

Also where is that Ennis Goss ffs!

Some guy told me from behind Russell is a better GK from the sideline apparently wtf.

Spare me the dribble Gutho hasn't been training GK from the sidelines. Give me a break we look a park team out there sharing the GK around.

I knew whe wouldn't kick it from 42m on an angle but how on earth isn't he just GK all the time.

The last time I looked the Tigers were mate.
We are not the same side as the last two years of wooden spoons, different roster, different board/CEO and coaches.
We'll surprise a few teams.
Parra will be there at the end Hindy.
Losing Moses didn't help I feel. I remember him putting on a cricket score against us not so long ago.

Must be one of BAs super cool new moves.

As someone mentioned before, that's two weeks in a row that someone has down those hay maker over the top passes, thinking the winger is about 10 ft tall and has the pace of an Olympic runner.

Why would you persist with that play?

Infact, I dont know why they kept persisting going down that side. Did they expect Sivo to sidestep inside and offload or outpace his opponent?
