Went to 4 pines park today on the hill.

When your getting pity from Manly fans you know things are bad.

Dylan Brown got heckled with abuse all game by the Manly fans and the sad part is i actually loved it.

I wonder what Jason Ryles is thinking right now about taking this job on. Did he underestimate the mess were truly in.

We are a hapless rabble that would struggle to win a ron massey cup game right now.

No one is on the same page in attack. Everything is in slow motion it's like getting a death by thousand cuts.

Shaun lane has his hands on his hips every attacking set for the first 3 tackles every attacking set. So is it fitness or lack of interest.

Will Penisini has disintegrated into the same rabble of a player that Waqa Blake ended up in.

Sean Russell isn't a first grader.

Name me one positive thing that has came out of Arthur's connection to the Rouse Hill Rhinos.

The 4 players from that Junior side he coached in that team are nothing more then reserve graders. Yet we gave them top 30 contracts from the age of 18-19.

Manly were in cruise control our defence was still too passive throughout the game.

I am lost where we go from here. Moses will help but honestly we are so far off the pace we look as bad as any wooden spoon team i have seen in 25 years.

320 mins we have played this year and we haven't led at any point its almost getting close to record breaking stat. The longest period a team has gone into a season and not led at any point.
We don't want to peak too early

Smelling very very much like the Kearney era

Next week i would go with
What about we make Dylan Brown play the Lussick hooker role for the first 30mins, before Smith is brought on?

Get his hands on the ball, and try and get him interested in being a spine player in the attack again... and select Walker (or even f**king Paulo) in the #6 - either of whom would do better than what Brown has contributed to the spine so far this season.

Brown can revert to #6 at the 30min mark when we give Walker (or Paulo) a spell. Bonus: we don't have to see Lussick in first grade at all.

Think Smith need to come on 5-10 before HT, and play out the game

If we are persisting with Lussick, then plays the first 30. His concentration levels after this are poor
Definitely. We have some players than need a spell after 20-25mins - Paulo, Offa, Kautoga - and more that definitely need a spell at 30-35mins - Lussick and Hopgood.

Only a rare couple of our forwards are capable of putting in the full 40 without falling off the edge too badly - I guess Lane, and maybe Matto and Carty if they are even in NRL considerations any more.
Think DBrown is close to playing his last game for Parra ,just a hunch. Cant see him playing out the year
Fingers crossed. Though we'll probably just give him paid mid-season leave for him to get his head together in Bali or something.

I think people are being a bit harsh on Iongi. He’s getting a lot of attacking kicks sent at him and a heap of line breaks because we are sturggling defensively. In attack our halves are working in slow motion and the 2nd rowers offer no threat at all, Iongi isn’t getting the ball in a good position very often. If Matto got through today’s game I’d have him on an edge and Carty on the other if he’s fit.
Not sure about Walker spending time at hooker, don’t think his passing game is up to it. We already have a 9 that can’t pass and it kills the attack. Walker coming on at 13 off the bench adds another dimension to the attack and more of a threat in the middle hopefully opening things up out a bit wider. Hopefully add in Moses in a few weeks and Lomax on the wing and we should be a bit more competitive

You’re absolutely correct. Plenty of people in here don’t know how to watch a game of footy if it bit them in the arse. Iongi should’ve caught that bomb, probably should’ve tackled Saab into touch but was otherwise fine. Watch him carve up in a more attacking side.

Iongi is not our issue.

Our issue is that our senior players just aren't contributing enough.

Brown is a passenger.

Paulo has been putting in the last few weeks, but the modern game doesn't suit a player of his size.

Lane looks to me that he's either unfit, or uninterested.

We have a team full of players with heaps of potential, but hugely lacking in experience - Iongi, Kautoga, Smith, Tuivati, et al may turn out to be good First Graders, but we will be in some short-term pain, to see that long-term gain.

One would hope that the senior players could step up, and mitigate that short-term pain somewhat, but it just hasn't happened.

This is an interesting game for me, so many storyline’s.

I suspect that headline is DCE shows exactly why he is an elite player and will have a blinder.

The flip side of that is the drums will be beating for Newcastle signing a player so horribly down on form.

I can then see Ryles then having Drown not being named at 6 or in Cup. Ryles will drop him and put Walker into 6 whilst Drown looks for an early exit.

Call me Nostradamus.

At the end of this week you’ll be asking me for the lotto numbers

Dead on.

I would add that Russell has not shown any development in his years in first grade and Penisini has just regressed.

Been racking my brain for solutions but there are just too many leaks to fix them all at once.

Maybe this team next week:

Iongi
JAC
Samrani/Renisini - depending on eligibility
Simmonson
Lomax
Brown - one last chance, or give Joash a go and have him and Iongi float and swap
Hawkins
Hopgood - at least he is trying
Kautoga - maybe a decently interested playmaker can unlock him?
Who the f**k knows? maybe Matto?
Paulo
Ryley
Offa - no one else really

D Walker
Guymer
Tuavaiti
Keir again?

Its a Rubiks cube of absolute shit.
