Why was their second try allowed he clearly dropped it ala the Panfers try last weekend.

Hawkins get pinged for an incorrect dropout was it because he kicked it after the try line?

Refs dog shit again seriously knew it was going to happen with Sutton on the field and Badger in the bunker.. What's the touchies paid for?

They were quite decent on their day, just not consistent, but they could play

Rylsey was correct on Gutho and today proved it. With Gutho playing for us we'd beat teams we shouldn't and then go on to lose to teams we shouldn't. Gutho was the problem.

1. Was close. Personally I thought he knocked it on
2. Lane went out of his way and stepped into the dragons chasing player. It was the right call and another bonehead play by Lane.
3. The rule is if it goes out on the full it must be contestable for it not to be a penalty. Because Hawkins booted it 30m it wasn’t a contest so correct call.

I have absolutely no idea what these officials are looking at. I dont know how that Dragons try was allowed, thankfully the overturned that other one but a clear forward pass leading up to it.

With the Hawkins one, it was supposedly an uncontested drop out which is why it wasnt a play the ball. Its a confusing rule the referees have no idea about.

The other one I dont understand was just before Gutho's 2nd try where the Dragons got a six again after the Dragons bloke looked like he dropped it into the Eels player while trying to offload.

I don’t think so. Not all of the ‘interpretations’ are in the rule book available online. Both the referee and the commentators explained it that way.

Hawkins should have been sent for 10 in the bin for the short drop out! Who’s ever called the play should be banished for the year !
I reckon we are 1/24 for short drop outs.
