However:

* a fair try denied to the Eels
* Ferguson going off injured
* every single call going their way
* the Eels making error, after error, to give them the ball

And they only put 19 points on us.

Canberra were deserved winners, but we were absolutely dog shit awful, and still were in the contest. Canberra needed everything to go their way, and only managed to score 19 points. It was enough, sure - but the Storm, Roosters, etc. put 30+ on us if we dish that up to them.

That, to me, speaks volumes about both sides.

Yep, it means both teams will be there to make up the 8 at best. Still a long season ahead but we're quite a way off from being a contender. Just ask @trevcogger.

I thought Taka looked dangerous out wide all night. He is playing injury free and has surprised me with impact.

I also like this line that we are playing under-strength teams.

We are missing:

Manu Ma'u, Nathan Brown, Dylan Brown

Ferguson going off injured.

Moses with a dislocated finger.

But we keep playing "under-strength" sides, and it makes us look better than we are...

Obviously didnt deserve to win, with such a terrible completion rate.

No particular player can be blamed for the loss, it was a whole team f**k up with just to many errors.

The side will get better, the effort was there.

Best thing from the game was our defence it was great!!! 3 tries yet 2 were from kicks!! Continue to defend like that and cut out the errors and the wins will come!!

You know what, I probably am guilty of overlooking the hard yakka and focusing on the bad. Those stats are impressive in a well beaten team.

Good D but tacklers slow out of the ruck. Poor technique. Lots of energy used up. Alvaro spent more time laying down than standing up.
The tackle of Havili (I think) before Papalis try took 5 players out of the line and we still didnt put him on the ground. Next play was always going to be a try.
The team needs to settle a little. Too much rush. Ball control abysmal. Not unlike 2018.
Effort but lack of substance.
Perenara is a fuc*ken hopeless pr*ck.
Canberra completely out muscled us.
