Actually, from what we saw on tv, think the referee officiated scared last might and he was the worst seen on the field for a while, and it’s a big number.

Atkins in the bunker ruled a penalty try, a hip drop, a dubious dead ball decision and more all in favour of the Raiders, not surprising really.
100%. Also pointed our way for a penalty and then they got it...sorry out of his depth and nothing will come of it....nothing to see...BUT the nrl and any sport for that matter need to be aware of bias towards teams expected to win...
Some of the above decisions were shockingly bad...
He was also calling our blokes almost immediately yet they were allowed to hold down...latitude one way but not both.
It's bad enough when are crap but to compound with poor refereeing makes it even tougher to stomach...
Knives are really out for JR

I am of the opinion that we are really lacking a vocal leader out there.

Someone who would tear strips out of his troops when they make stupid errors.

It's a double-edged sword, of course - you don't want to metaphorically castrate your teammates -, but you need someone to instill the fear of making dumb errors into the team.

Ryles should do it, but being a rookie coach, he needs to earn that right.

Mitchell Moses would probably do that, but he's always bloody injured.

We need to invest in some tight forwards who can dominate a ruck in defence, and a vocal leader.

They are out most important flaws to fix, imo.

I wish we had never let RCG go.
Yeah, totally agree. I thought the broadcast was interesting last night, with the smaller crowd further away from the field of play you could hear a bit more of the on field chatter. Addo-Carr was vocal at times, but there’s only so much he can do from the wing.

Yes Reg is Meh he is lazy in defence you don't win games by running hard off the kickoff...

Though we also have a few other Merkins who also are lazy in defence..

eh??

What you smoking brah, gimme some i need to look at the world differently too...

Reg got the Ken Thornett medal, best player award last year

Our best forward in both disciplines (attack and defence), played all 24 games

He was 14th overall in the NRL for missed tackles last season. The most of any prop.

It's one of the reasons I'd like to keep Addo-Carr - he's a leader. Plus, he's a handy player.

But we are sorely lacking someone vocal in the middle third - it's a real problem.

I think by the time Moses is back, the question will be, "Do we even bother risking his fitness?"

He's so important to our on-field success.

Would we not be better served having him rehabilitate his foot in 2025, to come back stronger next year?

Or is that just wishful thinking?

I'd hate to see him come back to the team, and suffer another long-term injury, in a season where we have nothing to play for.
He has to play mate once he is fit.

He has played just 5 club games from the last 27.

IF he sits out the season he would have earned over 2million dollars in the past 2 years for 5 club games from 45.

And it does nothing for Mitchell or the club him sitting on the sidelines

The people wanted a new coach. The board agreed that change was necessary. They tried to get Bennett and Cranky from Storm, but ended up with THE most sort after rookie in the market.

Literally 6 games in, merkins are starting to hate on him.

What do I think ? I get that footy is emotional, but FMD some of you are not rational.
And yet you still don't express a declarative opinion - just analyse others' opinions and mock.

Par for the course really.

If we can identify the plodders, any 'rookie coach' who's been in the game for decades can also identify them. Ryles didn't just start watching the game this year.
What I’m trying to say is that with Stuart we always knew he could coach because he is somewhat proven. You used to use that argument all the time because he had already won a premiership. I have a long memory. With untested rookies it’s an unknown and comparing Ryles to Stuart no matter how much I can’t cop Stuart is a nonsense.

Only comparison is that both came in and cleaned house. Ryles Just didn't pull out the overhead projector
