I love the Guth but with no city country I can’t see him pushing the likes of Teddy and T Turbo for the NSW job. Even then a Plank like Dugan will get the gig.

The original point Lingard (I think) made was we have no origin players and without one we are not a contender for the premiership. And as it stands he is correct , we don;t have one

No, we don't.

However, Nathan Brown and Clint Gutherson are both good enough to play at that level.

Michael Jennings played plenty for NSW.

Even Tim Mannah played Origin.

I think our problems are a little more complex than simply saying we lack rep players.
