In saying this, today was very good for our for and against. Newcastle were rubbish and didn't really threaten our goal line yet when they did, we were solid. A plus 37 on our f and a was excellent.
It was what I expected we should do today against a team like the Knights if we are expected to be contenders.
As I said before, we should have done this to the Tigers last week. A valuable 2 points lost that was.
It happens, we had an off day last week. Melbourne had an off day and we beat them. There's the two points. It all comes out in the wash.

Newcastle on the road was always tough we always seemed to lose up there.

We have won 3 on the trot up there for the first time ever so no longer a bogey ground and last 2 seasons have been spankings

Melbourne didn’t have an off day we beat them good.

One poor kick, a forward pass, a hospital pass to N.Brown and 4 or 5 missed tackles.....

One good kick.... I felt like he was ordinary as could be.

From what I seen he shouldn't even be our back up half or in the top 30. Honestly id rather Rankin if we did lose Brown or Moses.
Go Captain Rankin. 😁

Lol

We're unbeaten despite his inclusion, not because of....

Missed tackles ( like a lot of slightly built halves granted), forward passes, unforced errors, perplexing kicks.... He's a handbrake pure and simple.
Yeah a handbrake after winning 39-2. You miss the point of backup players. Most teams that lose, lose because of their backups. They're the ones who make crucial errors and miss important tackles. Most of Arthur's missed tackles were because he makes an effort to help his mates in defence and attempts some low percentage tackles at runners on either side of him. None of his errors were at crucial moments and his one bad kick was under big pressure.
