Because of what he's done at Penrith? Let's get Barrett too ffsTCiraldo is the best young coach on the market left I’d be chasing him.

Not Spiro?!?!?They buried one of their best mates
Drown looked fine last week and I reckon he would've looked just as garbage as everyone else tonight but more often because he would be getting more ball. He’s an active hindrance to the entire team. Sure he’s a back up, but he’s playing back up in a squad that is pushing our genuine star five eighth to centre, and is detracting from Dylan’s game, while offering f**k all himself. You’re off the planet if you think this is acceptable. The poor kid should be cutting his teeth in reserves, and his dad is doing a disservice to Jake, the entire team, and every Parramatta fan by playing him at stand off.
But Sean Russell was picked ahead of Arthur last time they were both available? Why would it be a MASSIVE f**kEN LOL@POU if it happens again? I'm happy with whatever selection the coach makes. It's his team.I’m so f**king keen to see Pou’s reaction to Jake being rightly dropped from the squad this week. “Oh, it’s because Sean Russell is back, so our backup half that f**ks the entire backline is back playing reggies. I always said this was the way it should go.” Absolutely laughable.
When have we ever scored points from shifting the ball before earning the right? Just because we're near the opposition try line doesn't mean we've earned the right to spread the ball. Arthur/Moses threw fewer passes last week despite the big score. We needed to stay patient.I’m not blaming Jake for our forwards getting rolled from about the 30 minute mark. I am laying plenty of blame on his non-existent attack and mediocre defence. We needed to come away with points early when we had all that ball. If we get a try or two the whole game changes. If you can’t see that then you’ve shown you’re whole ass. You’ve got even less of an idea than I do.
Which posts? There's good reasons for everything mate. There's reasons to pick Jake Arthur and reasons to not pick him. Not every decision is easy but we should respect them.As soon as the coach makes that call (in team list, or as a switch on game day) he'll suddenly be 100% behind it, contradicting his posts of a week before.
Did we not have any players unavailable in round one? I'm pretty sure Sivo, Dunster and Niukore were unavailable. The one time any of those three was available this year Jake Arthur played reserve grade. It's a small sample but so is the evidence you've used to form your opinion ffsYou keep omitting the fact he was in our starting 17 in round 1, because it doesn’t suit your argument.
Like I've said before, it's not a backup's job to be any better than a backup. They just need to come in and do their job, which isn't to be the star attraction. You admit the forwards were shit tonight, and might even admit that Moses and Gutherson were as well behind that pack but somehow hold the backup to a higher standard. And you've got the nerve to call others disingenuous? It’s disingenuous. The fact he’s a teenager is irrelevant if he’s playing first grade. He wasn’t alone tonight, but he was one of our worst, pure and simple. If you’re playing first grade, you are going to be criticised as a first grader. The forwards were shit tonight but they have enough runs on the board. JA has shown half of sweet f**k all. He’s not even good enough to be our back up half.
We scored even more against the Knights, with Drown playing centre. Unfortunately the Cowboys have much better defence than those two teams. We were shit against the Tigers but we could still score points.
Well my point is sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. Maybe Jake Arthur isn't the determining factor in why we only scored one try last night? It didn't seem to stop us scoring six last week, which was more than we scored the week before against Wests, without Arthur in the team. With such a small sample you can't pick and choose the outlier. We could also score a few against the Sharks and we actually should have won that game as we were the better side. All I’ve said is that our attack suffers greatly with Jake in the halves. You’re not arguing the point I’m making.
And also in one of our best performances this year. And also missed another of our shit performances. Is there any correlation at all ffs? All we know is he is a backup. If he's playing it's because better players are unavailable. You'd expect us to perform worse than if they were available to play.I’m never said he’s the only reason we lost. But he does seem to have played in the halves in some of our more terrible performances.
Absolute shitbags, But but they're only criticising the coach. They can get f**ked. The carry on I’ve seen tonight on social media from some of our “fans” is beyond pathetic.
The eels had to turn comments off on their posts because morons were telling JA he should self harm.
Other posts saying they hope he tears his ACL at training.
Never been more embarrassed by our so called fan base
If he was a top 17 player he would've played every game he was available. He also would've played every game when everyone else was available. He has done neither. He’s apparently a top 17 player so he’s eligible for criticism just like anyone else in the the side.
Well you like to point out how much better they are, and I agree. But if they're capable of disappointing losses why should it be out of the question for us?Who gives a f**k about the Roosters
There was no room for him to run the ball, but last week Moses ran plenty. Even Arthur's took the tackle when the pass wasn't on:After the game, I asked one of our legends what he thought the problem was and his answer was "we have a half back who doesn't run enough". He wasnt talking about JA.
Merkin | Runs | Passes |
---|---|---|
Arthur | 8 | 35 |
Moses | 9 | 32 |
Merkin | Runs | Passes |
---|---|---|
Arthur | 3 | 44 |
Moses | 5 | 42 |
They normally decide the ladder after the final round. Then they just count wins and losses. They don't pretend some meant more than others.I wonder which round it is where losses start mattering?
Passing inside the red zone isn't the be all and end all of scoring points. You need to score them however you can and they're all worth four points.Lol our attack is still shit, we flogged two crap sides that gave up and we scored 3 arsey tries from kicks against Melbun. We are still as shit in the red zone as we were last year. But you and gronky can tell us how good our new shapes look.
He has played every game he was available, he didn't come on in round 2 because he had appendicitis. Otherwise he has been picked every single time bar the Tigers game when Daddy gave him one whole game in reserves to prove he was worthy of shunting our untalented utility to the centres. He was picked in the 17 in the Penrith trial and round 1 with just Dunster out so this BS about injuries is just typical BS.If he was a top 17 player he would've played every game he was available. He also would've played every game when everyone else was available. He has done neither.
You don’t really believe a team isn’t more likely to score in the 20m zone than anywhere else do you?Passing inside the red zone isn't the be all and end all of scoring points. You need to score them however you can and they're all worth four points.
Dunster and Sivo and Niukore all unavailable. The one game Niukore was available Arthur wasn't in the 17. He also didn't come on in round one until Russell was injured. He has played every game he was available, he didn't come on in round 2 because he had appendicitis. Otherwise he has been picked every single time bar the Tigers game when Daddy gave him one whole game in reserves to prove he was worthy of shunting our untalented utility to the centres. Why would I believe that? We have scored more tries than anyone except Melbourne and Penrith this year and most of those from inside the 20. We have the third most linebreaks as well, equal with Penrith. Some of them probably were from inside the 20m zone.Y
You don’t really believe a team isn’t more likely to score in the 20m zone than anywhere else do you?
Yeah because thats what he said and thats what I typed.
Right. So if your team is able to consistently attain field position in the opposition 20m zone but can’t get over the line then there is a problem no?Why would I believe that? We have scored more tries than anyone except Melbourne and Penrith this year and most of those from inside the 20. We have the third most linebreaks as well, equal with Penrith. Some of them probably were from inside the 20m zone.
