And towards the end of the game, that chip and chase. Game is won, you could let it bounce and see what happens....but who scrambled his nuts off to beat a back to the footy and clean it up?

Alvaro
He also tries to wrestle as pou had said

Can I ask who is this Keppie bloke? Was he meant to be a gun?
A young prop who did really well in our 20s. Plays sort of like Alex Twall. Currently playing in Manlys 2s with a bunch of Wenty rejects who are struggling. He has a great motor and will develop but hopefully not too much cause Manly pinched him off us.

I expected a bit more from Lomax. I havent seen too much of him but he has a bit of chat around him. The poor kid had a shocker today. Dropped his head a few times. Coach will need to pump him up through the week.

Gutho has moved into equal second on the Dally M leaderboard, one point behind Munster and level with Cody Walker, Cam Smith and James Tedesco.

Moses one point behind them

Great to come from behind, we were in the arm wrestle for the first 20 then dropped off and the Dragons looked to have us on the ropes and then Mahoney scores that great try......still cannot get over how Klein thought he needed to go to the video ref, it was an embarrassment and the reason people hate the refs so much!

Gutho then broke their backs with back to back efforts!

Salmon really picked up in the second half too (not that he was playing bad, just not giving us another attacking option) and i thought got more involved and showed some skill, i thought we were lacking that in the first half.

The Lane call was correct, the ball must bounce dead in the in-goal, you can't make it dead by being out. The missed forward pass though was just annoying considering how many forward passes we've been pulled up for that could have changed some of our losses this year.......

At half time i was fearing the worst (like normal) so the turnaround was brilliant!!

Kid is still 19, with bugger all games, he did ok. He will be a good player.

We expect to much from rookies, eg look at salmon, not excelling but slowly getting better each week with experience.

We f**king belted them. That’s how it went down!!

At game I just noticed poor kick chase. That is easy fixed
What I did like is we played some footy.
On Lane I mean where do you rate him for 2nd rowers? I said start of year he could take off and be close to origin level. I think he has reached that. He would be maybe the best 2nd rower for what he is being paid. Great player.

Agree Lane is class but thought he had a quieter game today. I don’t know what he’s on so hard for me to comment on that but I think he most likely provides excellent value for money, which should allow us to re-sign the likes of Gutho and Moses.

Sivo did good, but still inexperienced. Yeah that was an impressive long distance try, but he really should have set up Jennings and could have easily bombed the try!
I’d rather the merkin hold the ball and try and steam roll the opposition than try to force a pass. Took the right option in my opinion.

Off course, if he can’t get the pass away definitely hold it. But a good winger (or one with experience) passes to Jennings.

If we lose by 4 and Sivo doesn’t score, we would be talking about it.

Anyhow he is going great and getting better each week

The Lane call was correct, the ball must bounce dead in the in-goal, you can't make it dead by being out.

Could you clarify this?

I'm not sure what the difference is between putting your foot out before catching a bomb, and having your foot out and the ball bouncing off you?
Is it having control of the ball?

I think it is a stupid rule but the rule is if the ball leaves the in gaol (in play) in order for it to be ruled dead it must bounce first, a player cannot step out and touch the ball dead.

I can't explain the logic but i just know it is the rule. I don't know if it applies to anywhere other than the in goal i have just seen it applied multiple times over the years.
