The points differential table tells us more about our team than one cherry-picked game.

We seem capable of big games. I've said this before. We play physical and have some older forwards. It's impossible for them to play like that every week. And in the NRL your intensity only has to be off 10% and most sides will beat you. We lack the attacking players to play soft and still win like Storm or Panthers or even Sharks or Manly can do.

Penrith get so many meters from the back 3. The forwards are then fresh and just smash you in defense. Their attack isn't Storm like.
It's what their entire game is built around. Nothing more than run hard, tackle hard. But it is executed to precision. There is definitely more to that Storms attack, but rugby league is a simple game and if you run hard and tackle hard every game as a team, you'll win pretty much every week.

Say you are right. Can we play 3 high intensity games like today to win the premiership? That is my worry.

Awesome win.
Very proud supporter tonight.
Matto for weeks now has been immense. He needs to be signed ASAP.
They targetted Perham big time. Did a decent job considering his first few errors.
I'd say Russell is back in next week after playing Reggies.
Still have Nuikore Waqa and Sivo to come back as well.
No outlandish statements but its very clear we have it in us to beat the two top teams. It's also clear if we play with that intensity and have that mindset every week, we will be a hard team to beat.
Another 2 big games against teams we have struggled against in recent years. Roosters next week in Brisbane then Manly at Commbank in a fortnight.
We will know what this team is really made of in 2 weeks from now...
Cmon you mighty Eels 👏 💪

Our captain, Gutherson played his best game tonight. He was immense. Brown and Matterson however turned the game on it’s head and without them we wouldn’t have won. We also beat them with 15 players. We didn’t use our complete interchange again. Elkin has the boys very fit.
We lose alot when our starting middles go off. Matterson can't do it all himself during that stage, but put Niukore back on that interchange, and it improves us immensely.

Most of them. You just need some luck on the day, no different from the finals.
I think most is not accurate.

It would take a very under strength Panthers or Storm for "most" teams to beat them at home if they turn up for the contest.

Outside of us, Roosters at their best on their day, and Manly with Tommy Turbo on a good day, I don't think there are many others that can beat the Storm or the Panthers if they come to play.
