Yup.
I heard "somewhere" on the wireless today that Pappenpussy will earn up to 2 million per year with Melbourne tpa's. Kept saying how marketable he is. Just looks like a guy with a rough head who needs a haircut to me. No way would he ever be the face of my incontinence pads business.
All jokes one side, why cant Dylbags or Moses generate such interest? This is the missing link for sure.

It's a lot easier for players from 1 team towns. Much more straight forward marketing job.

We keep reading of the massive development in Parramatta. It would be nice if at lest some became interested in Their Team. Hopefully there are processes in place to identify and seek out opportunities. There appears to be plenty of shirt, shorts, game day etc sponsors. It seems not so much in making our players more prepared to take "less money" to stay. There are always more or better ways.

If you consider Melbourne a distinct market from Sydney (obvious) and the NRL distinct from the AFL (arguable) it's easy to see how the Storm might have a genuine monopoly down there. The TPA can't be linked to the Storm but Papenhuyzen-the-NRL-player-in-Melbourne is well within the rules.

The point is, in the fair dinkum department, why give some merkin a TPA when you can spend your marketing dollars sponsoring the club directly. The latter would give more exposure. What is the benefit to the TPA provider exactly? Obviously there is a benefit or it wouldn't happen but as a thought experiment (rather than just getting frustrated and saying "FFS ON'EIEL!!!") try answering that question for yourself.

Wasn't it tungsten that used to help us see in the dark, before they made us switch to these bodgy green lights? Well I guess we showed that global warming who's who.

Is it ONeils responsibility?
Why does anyone sponsor an individual?
Why are tennis players, swimmers, cricketers etc sponsored and not their sport or their team?
Get off the grass Poo! It depends on where they can get bang for buck. Its about marketing and sales. Like all things in life some do it better than others.
Probably best to just give up eh? Ffs Poo! For a fellow who constantly debates any subject you surprisingly accept defeat way too easy.

Rich unscrupulous weirdos are far more useful than corporates.

Allowed representation. There isn’t rules stopping swimmers having garish sponsor labels all over their dick stickers.
There are rules stopping Latrell Mitchell running out with a buckets of KFC under each arm.
