Just watched the Fox replay after viewing 9 last night. Pathetic commentary but that's all been said.
Not many mentions on the Forum 're a few incidents last night.
. Rheed kick into Chooks in goal. Topous pass to Teddy. Definitely forward? Rheed subsequently injured when it should have been a line drop out.
. Niukore slow ptb around 30 min mark. Got up holding his head?
. Ref absolutely put his whistle in his pocket in the second half. Continued ruck infringements ignored. It looked awfully like he was told to back off at half time.
I thought the boys did well. Well done Lane Train. Our forwards were massive. No D/H plan. Was always going to happen. Give yourself an uppercut BA.
Sivo needs a huge kick up the clacker. Didnt even attempt to chase down The Chooks 2nd try. Lazy fu*k. Much more needed from this bloke.
Next week will be a massive challenge. Another hoodoo. Have we ever won a Magic Round match? Cant wait.

It was against very tired defenders, though. I haven't seen him make a decent break other than that one in the last two years.

Hence why I said he usually has to attack against second rowers / centres their defence is usually better than front rowers..

I mean the bunker only gets involved in certain types, and therefore a limited number of decisions, and there's a few glaringly obvious ones that have been brought up here already.

My biggest issue with the commentators last night is how they kept complaining that we scored 3 tries from kicks - last time I checked, a try from a kick is a legitimate play, and it's still worth 4 points...

This antiquated notion that tries from kicks are anathema to the game is imbecilic.

Yep, teams can make it harder for the opposition to score running tries by compressing and fast line speed on the edges. Both those things make them more vulnerable to the kick.

- both incidents were accidents. Contact sport

It doesn't need to be deliberate to warrant a penalty or suspension. Reckless and careless are terms that don't imply any malice or intent. But they still get punished. Players need to make an effort not to break the rules, even by accident.
