Sweet irony, now she has the audacity to be critical of 60mins running a news story to just cause controversy!

That any of us has been asked to take sides in this is plainly wrong and immoral. When sensationalism gets in the way of the truth, the damage to all sides is enormous and public opinion falls victim to a lack of facts.

Where was the veteran Liz Hayes, the reporter on the story, when the producers handed her a script that unravelled McKinnon and subsequently Smith?

60 Minutes got it very, very badly wrong. In trying to play the blame game, the program’s producers chose to ignore facts that could have been cleared up with a phone call.

I watched it last night. A statue would offer more than GWS Robertson. He offers zero as far as sane commentary.

Saw Bulldog Ritchie on FoxSports journo panel last night. Slamming the Fifitas, slamming the NRL saying they should get somewhere between 10 weeks and a year ban, then Russell Barwick who was hosting says Hawthorns coach was found guilty of abusing a junior ref and only got a 4 week ban from junior games, no fine from the AFL, no ban from the AFL.

Barwick after raising this to Ritchie and says given what you have said about the Fifitas then Clarkson should have got more. Ritchie's response was "you're probably right....." then goes straight back to bagging the NRL and the Fifitas. The AFL guys on the panel never asked nor commented on Clarkson.

Can you imagine the media storm if a first grade coach in the NRL had abused a junior re one year, then assaulted a fan the next year?

The double standards of the media treatment is breathtaking.
