On this week's podcast, we chat with former Illawarra Steelers halfback Trevor Kissell.
Trevor has some great yarns, talking about the Panasonic Cup of 1989, being dropped from Andy Gregory, the Helensburgh Tigers and his relationship with the late Graham Murray, including their sprint sessions.

Recap Dragons news (signings, TripADeal support of Griffin and lower grade appointments). Plus who am I and Fans Corner.

Thanks Jack your Podcasts are a welcome listen to each week, especially during the off-season.
The ongoing discussion about whether Griffin will change his tactics for 2023 is one of the most defining issues for how well we will or won’t play. No change in what he has done to date will no doubt lead to disappointment.
Change is essential and many on the Forum have nailed what is needed, more time in first grade for the young guns, Hunt to transition to hooker with Sullivan getting time at half, more speed in defence and in the play the ball and much more adlib footy to name just a few.
I was especially interested in Curtis’ comment this week about the changes emerging in the physical make up and playing style of players across the field.
Curtis is spot on. We are seeing this already with the old hard nosed lumbering forwards being replaced by hard nosed more mobile and creative forwards.
This then leads us to needing coaches who can lead this type of change not lag several years behind it. Can Hook make such change in his coaching style - most probably not but as he is our coach for 2023 I certainly hope so.
We need a coach and support staff in our club management who are forward thinkers like Curtis. Give up the day job Curtis and come over to the Dragons. 😀
Keep the Podcasts coming Jack.

Jamie Soward drops by the Red V Podcast to talk us through the Dragons pre-season training. Sowie chats this, the success our men and women are having over in the UK, the transition from playing to coaching, and how the club is dealing with "outside noise"

Plus we jump into the time machine and head back to 1992 for part two of our Missing Rings documentary. Hear highlights, interviews and reflections on the season as the Saints look to put poor form behind them and make something of the 1992 season.

We also bring you the latest Dragons news, answer your fans questions and reveal the Who Am I for this week. #redv

Always great to hear from Sowie and his positive outlook on happenings at the Dragons (and yes, I understand that he really can't say anything else).

He didn’t say much at all on the male side other than the club rhetoric. Understand as not his role
But he is one of the main guys supposedly driving them hard at training running plays
he has a very close role with the main 1st grade squad

He did say traing was going well. Getting fit was a priority. Everyone was happy to be back. Etc. He was working on attack I think. You know, the usual

St George has glided its way into the Semi-Finals for the first time in 7 years, on the back of some smart game plans, a positive club culture and superb resilience.
In the third installment of The Missing Rings Documentary, we focus in on the Semi-Final run that saw the Saints come from the dead, to win back-to-back sudden death matches and achieve a Grand Final Appearance.
Plus insights from the players who defied the critics, including Tony Priddle who had the Grand Final week and day from hell and Noel Goldthorpe's revelation that Brian Smith knew the Saints were done at half-time.

Included are all the big games from the finals series including the try-less semi final against Newcastle and the dramatic Preliminary Final win against Illawarra.

Plus latest Dragons news and we answer your fans questions.

Another good episode Jack.
I really like listening to Webb, he speaks clearly & honestly.
Unlike previous CEO’s who gave you nothing except gobbly gok, political jargon etc.

Jack, I just wanted to say thank you for putting out these podcasts week after week, they are absolutely fantastic and something us dragons tragics relish, especially during the offseason.
Your views are always balanced, respectful but challenge the club and it’s many flaws.
Anyway, just about to jump in the car and listen to the latest episode, Ryan Webb, quality guest, good on him for being so generous with his time.
Cheers Jack and Curtis.
