It's not an awful team for the most part, but the spine is pretty bog average and that's going to be the issue.
and depth at moment, particularly at prop. But they still have 9 spots to fill. If they reach 9th/10th I think it will be a pass, anything less and it becomes very meh. Sure it might turn around in a few years but that's hardly what you want from the excitement of a new club coming in. Marshall-King is having a good season so he might turn out better than expected. The 1, 6 and possibly 7, yeh not much to get excited about.

You'd have to say GC Titans started out with a much better spine:
1. Preston Campbell
6. Matt Rogers
7. Scott Prince
9. Nathan Friend

Te Whare will be one of their centres. Dude is absolutely killing in QCup despite playing about 5 games of RL in his life.

Highly doubt Issako plays fullback, a winger at best. I'm sure they'll get Niu/TMM/Farnsworth/Staines/Hammer to play 1. Definately a side that could make the 8, or at least compete for a spot in the finals.

Looking at how light on they are with props I think we can assume Lodge is going to end up there?

This side is going to be awful in year 1. Isaako and Milford are team killers.

Expecting more players to make the jump in '24 when their contracts are up.

Isaako in particular. Milford can be lazy a lot of the time but there is at least some ability to work with. Isaako would be easily the worst fullback in the competition if he started.

I think you've got a point about those 2. Any ship they board sinks 😔 .
Bennett is the number 1 man manager though, if anyone is going to get the best out of them it's him.

Back line looks bog avg. honestly look at the 1-7 and answer “would I want any of them replacing someone in my starting team”. Some hope with the union convert whose doing well at qrl cup but can he step it up at nrl level?

Bennett’s got some work cut out for himself. Not the Broncos origin squad of past years

Some great performances from some of the recruits over the weekend. O'Sullivan looked good and JMK is killing in 🤘
Underestimate Bennett's eye for talent at your own peril.

Dolphins now throwing the kitchen sink at Munster. Interestingly everyone they have signed so far is for 2 years or more so does that mean they still have at least $1.3mill (plus the remaining 7 players yet to be signed) not used on the '23 cap?

The amount Wayne Bennett and the Dolphins are willing to pay Cameron Munster has risen again, with the club reportedly set to offer the star up to $1.3 million per season to shift north from the start of the 2024 season.
While the Storm - and Munster himself - have made it clear that he won't be going anywhere for the 2023 season, which is the final year of his current contract in the Victorian capital, he is yet to sign beyond the end of next season.
The Storm have made it clear they want to keep Munster beyond the end of 2023, and are desperate to get a deal done before November 1 when he can formally begin to negotiate and receive offers from other clubs.
