Compare that to the number of times a fullback would be asked to make a one on one tackle. You can be badly exposed when defending on the wing which is why so many wingers have bad reputations as defenders.
For a fullback they have to understand where to stand and possition themselves when someone makes a break, how to limit their opponents space, when to come forward and give their opponent less time, or when to hold back for the opponents play... this is the difference between a good defencive full back and a no so good one. It not always size but technique and brains. Also where to possition yourself on ball returns, how deep, talking to you wingers etc.
Fullback is more important than the wing, and i don't like seeing wingers play fullback and fullbacks playing on the wing. Burt is a fullback and should play there if he is the best choice, i don't wanna see him on the wing, if hayne plays fullback promote Lett, or Inu to the wing.
