I know Leichhardt is old but the Tigers hardly play there. Wasted money. Better spent in my opinion on upgrading Campbelltown which is a growth area.

With Mark Speakman (State Attorney General) and Scomo the State and Federal members for Cronulla respectively you would have to be naive to think there wasn't a bit of pork barrelling for Shark Park going on. Chris Minns however is the State Opposition Leader and Member for Kogarah so in March 2023 (the next State election) that could all change.

Waratahs would not play there as it's not their demographic,

Alistair the qualitative derivatives analyst from Mac Bank isn't going to haul his cookies in the Range Rover Evoque all the way down the Princes Highway, no freeway entrance pops up there plus getting road dust on the tyres is unacceptable.

The ground itself isn’t getting much done (as part of this 2 year move)

Theyre doing some stuff to the family hill for food trucks and access to the leagues club etc.

Sharks Stadium in line for windfall​

The NSW State Government is close to finalising its strategy regarding the NRL’s suburban grounds investment.

While Penrith has been confirmed and Manly tipped to get another cash injection for Brookvale Oval, momentum is gathering for Cronulla’s privately-owned stadium to get a significant makeover.
Funds were originally put aside for a major renovation at Jubilee Oval. The Sharks can thank the Dragons, who showed little interest in playing more than half of their games at Kogarah each year given their ties to the South Coast.

Not going to happen and whilst Greene was after it the 40mill price tag was flipped off by the Government with "what , for 6 games a year ? "
