If Melbourne start the game against teams above them as they did in Newcastle they may as well consider the last few games of the year trials. Could give a couple of hopefuls a run at 5/8 maybe, even rest up the big 3 for next year, there is certainly a need to look for adequate replacements which may be needed sooner or later.
Then again, if Robbo or Madge who are gf virgins let the Storm bluff them out of losing their cherry they have only themselves to blame. Manly and the Dogs certainly won't let Melbourne get away with a 'warming up' first half . . . no siree.
What can you say about the Warriors, was there ever a name more contradictory, the killer instinct that is implied is absent because the playmakers are absent minded. If Mateo is not carrying a debillitating injury he isn't earning his money and dare I say it, again, the halves are no match for the rest of the team. Just a Langer/Reynolds/Cronk away from being a yardstick.
