Almost Origin time and I have to face the family and the usual call of 'traitor'. I almost feel sorry for NSW . . . almost.
They have to face probably the strongest team on the planet with less preparation than the opposition.

The nucleus of the Qld combination just played a tough warm up game against the Kiwis and all NSW had was Country/City.
Even then some key players were rested/unavailable. Doesn't seem fair. As usual no-one knows who they're playing with
and if they did it's the same old diving in the deep end.

Newsouthwelshmen whingers will blame the coach as usual when the only real way, other than to rely on luck, would be to
have a training session once a fortnight of the season leading up to SOO. A squad should be picked in the offseason and if
players wanted to play Origin they have to undertake the extra training sessions.

There's no other way until NSW players at least get an equal representation of key players in the Australian side or they create a stable team

I don't agree DCE is a dud. I think he was born to play League and will get better
provided he is guided properly. In the same way that a lot of could-be-brilliant players will miss out for all
sorts of reasons DCE was in the right place at the right time.

Either do the majority of honest RL fans.

I'm not sure Toovey is the right match for DCE. Time will tell I guess......

Desperate times call for desperate measures. After suffering another series loss this year NSW should seriously take this into consideration. However I can't see their clubs with their insular and parochial thinking ever agreeing to it.

Ricky Stuart may have to take to the media again......tissues in hand, in an effort to shame them into conforming to his wishes.

There is already at least one too many NSWelsman in the Australian team. Whatmong will be replaced by Matt Gillett in the not too distant future.
