The players who missed out are being encouraged to stay in WA and play for their WARL clubs. WA state selection is one of the carrots being used to entice them to stay (if they play for WA, they'd be the first players looked at by Reds selectors to get into the WA Reds squad for season 2009). I believe, however, some have already spoken of heading back East. I don't know who these players are though.
