Reece Walsh NRL debut with a badly injured Warriors team was very good. Despite the result and shotty officiating yet again. The kid is going up from here. Playing against a hot storm side Walsh handled himself well with a few nice touches. He definitely has my attention :)
We will happily swap him back for Isaako and throw in a Milford for free as well.

I don't blame the Broncos for granting him an early release. They need to move on from this period as quickly as possible, keeping a disgruntled rookie around wasn't going to provide any value and it was clear they didn't see him playing much NRL this season.

The Warriors didn't really have anyone useful to provide either. Both Perham and Turner are running playmakers which the Broncos already have in abundant supply.

The issue was not signing him in the pre-season and promoting him to an NRL deal. The club just seems to bet on the wrong horse time and time again.

Turner would of offered a whole lot more than Dearden, MIlford, Isaako & Croft put together. It's a bit arrogant that Kevin and Co didn't do their homework and offered a spot to Danny Levi. Jesus Turner would do a better job at hooker than Levi and he doesn't play that role. Covers 1 to 7 with ease. His defense is top notch too.

Warriors may look like this thanks to Kevin.

1. Walsh
6. Turner
7. CHT or SJ if we sign him up 2022
9. Egan & Nikorima

Low on experience but loads of talent / skill there.

Well hopefully Turner lives up to your expectations. I don't think he's a generational talent or anything close but he could be a good clubman.

It just seems odd that they overlooked the status of Turners top 30 spot at the Warriors as an excuse for not pursuing with his signature. Sounds a bit fishy to me or Dad looking after son or another signing??? Did Levi take that last spot? Crazy.

Turner just oozes awesomeness. Always backs himself. The things he needs to improve on are 2 things. 1. Match fitness plays good for 60 minutes. 2. Long kicking game. He ticks the boxes in all the other departments. With more game time that should make him better. If he fails to deliver I'll be surprised.

It depends on whether Piakura was upgraded to a full NRL deal early. They either have a roster of 29 or 30. I don't agree with the Levi signing, but they needed to sign a dummy half to replace McCullough and that role doesn't suit Turner.

I don't really buy that story either. I wouldn't be surprised if the Broncos released Walsh early with the idea that they were going to sign Turner but then Paul got cold feet. It was either make a point about the NRL squad deal or reveal you got knocked back by a rookie.

Either way it didn't happen and the Broncos can't think of what could have been because Turner is going to miss the entire season.

I've only seen Reece Walsh from the weekend's highlights and I want to know why we persisted with Isaako over him? He had playmaking skills, can kick and had good involvement in attacking plays.

He signed after the first round of the competition before he had even played a game of QCup. He would have most likely played had he stuck around but his management made it known he was chasing money.

I still think the Broncos bottled it because he's clearly worth it. I would have argued the Broncos weren't going to let these young rookies hold the club to ransom which is why they let Walsh and Dearden go but then they went and got into a bidding war over Piakura. Hopefully Piakura lives up to their expectations, but based on what I've seen he's a long way off.

One wonders when Broncos fans are going to wake up their club is being purposely sabotaged from within and with the assistance of the NRL and media, to smooth the way for a second SE Queensland team. The NRL has said that this club would be worth $50 million to them - and they are pulling all the strings to make sure the Broncos are weakened severely to ensure the team is given every chance of success.

* The hatchet job on Wayne Bennett virtually ensuring he'll never return (the board knew Bennett would never stand for this rubbish)
* Five year deal for an untested coach
* Refusing to sack Darius Boyd last year - despite his complete lack of interest and form - contributing to many losses
* The team's terrible string of losses coinciding with the introduction of the match-fixing device called the "six again rule" which has been used to strategically demoralise the team in numerous games (note that the NRL do not publish statistics on the six-again rule - which makes its application unaccountable and completely open to abuse)
* The ridiculous banning of Haas last year for basically standing up for a mate
* The club being singled out for "COVID fines" last year, and Pangai junior (a potential match winner) being forced to sit out half the season for a breach at other players were given a slap over the wrist
* Letting go of Reece Walsh, Sam Walker, David Fifita, and "the future around who we can build the club" Tom Deardon - all with virtually no fight and in the case of Deardon, not even a contract offer
* No major signings since Jack Bird
* The NRL rewarding Seibold - who took the club to its first spoon - with a plumb role as "tactics commentator" (are you kidding me?)
* The systematic letting go of players last year and before - many of which were foreshadowed in the media before they happened (McCullough, Nikorima) - showing a very unhealthy relationship between the club and the media
* Coates and Staggs look like their considering leaving now
* The Board Chairman and the new CEO - tight connections with News.
* Unsourced calls by the media to "rip Broncos apart" - to tear the roster up.

I'm sorry if you can't identify a stitch up - but this is beyond obvious now, and if you're a true Broncos fan, its time to write to the NRL, pull their pants down and ask for a full explanation of this hit job.

I don't buy into the conspiracy theory and just think it's a case of a new chairman trying to throw his weight around without really knowing what he's doing but it's always nice to hear from ya Daz.

“Conspiracy theory” - a meaningless term used by the brain dead to avoid thinking or debate. If you think two words can be used to quash overwhelming evidence of a well planned controlled demolition of a club’s success mounting up by the day - then you deserve to live in the fabricated, concocted “reality” built for you by the public relation/psychological specialists who are skilled in leading sheep like you into oblivion. Enjoy calling skilled manipulation incompetence. As for me - as many others who agree with me on social media - we will live comfortably in the harsh reality that the NRL is more than willing to sacrifice club success on the alter of financial progress.

The good feeling from a Warriors fan POV (And we haven't had many good things or feelings happening in our club in recent history lol) That Reece Walsh is with us for 3 years that begins next year. Getting him early is a coupe for our beloved club. We will look after him. Fans will protect him at all cost being young and from another country. 2021-2024 Walsh Era

Hey it's your opinion but I think the most logical answer is that this was mostly self-inflicted by staff members that are in over their head and it's resulted in a huge fallout. If it makes you sleep easier at night that Karl Morris was sent to destroy the club more power to you.

Ultimately I think we both agree that the club has been horribly run and changes need to be made.

Cobbo, James & Mozer. Any other promising juniors coming through the ranks that other clubs should have a look at?

The cupboard is pretty bare for their juniors right now. I'd throw Willison and Robati in there as well. Deine Mariner and Jotham Russell are also Broncos contracted players who played in that successful Tweed outfit.

I have no doubt in my mind that the strategic controlled demolition of the club is in play - no doubt at all.

I've been in the corporate and non-profit worlds and this type of thing is common.

Money and power are the controlling forces - not good faith.

I've been in situations where you wonder why "leaders" are purposefully killing that which sustains them - then you discover the bigger agenda.

Conspiracies happen every day of the week - because there are so many psychopathic people in the world - and many have a knack of rising to the top.

I think much can be seen in the symbolism behind the Deardon disgrace. He was called "the future around whom we can build the club" - and then within a few weeks, let go with barely a fight. That tells you all you need to know.

So are these leaders working for one of the aspiring expansion clubs?

Is Ezra Mam contracted as well?
