I'm not totally convinced he actually grounded it in goal,no try call correct after on field call of no try

Storm fans can't complain about dud calls because they had one go their way last week?

 Logic of an 8 year old.

Someone bumped the thread about the Eastwood/Soward shirt grabbing incident from 2009 to say Dragons fans had no right to whinge. If an incident from 5 years ago disqualifies us from whinging, then last week disqualifies Storm fans. ;-)

With those angles I'd go with the onfield ref decision. If we didn't have that rule, I wouldn't award it. His hand is on the line, ball is behind the hand. Looks short to me.
But on the video, it looks as though the ball would have dragged across the grass at one point.

oh sorry the Refs fkd up with the timing last week so that means that was a good decision today.. definitely no try :D

It means you should take the advice of what you guys said to the Dragons last week- get over it. It wasn't even clear cut anyway, was a 50/50 call at best. There was NO DOUBT that the game was over last week, none whatsoever. Big difference, and yet you are whinging as much as ever. Not Canberra's fault you let a loose forward beat 3 blokes from 25m out to win the game!

I think Storm fans are more concerned about the lack of scramble and second effort that Melbourne were well renowned for.
Waqa no try is debatable but that's footy, that's life! The Storm I know wouldn't let Canberra get a sniff.

It's not like people didn't predict this. I know I certainly did in the off season. The dynasty was never going to last and if it was ever going to end, it would be this year.

Thanks to our friends at the Telegraph http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sp...ken-into-account/story-fni3fbgz-1226890704838 who put this together here is what the competition would like if you changed the results where referee blunders occurred.

We all know a refereeing mistake is always the reason a teams loses . . . at least the f**kwits amongst us do

Refs will make mistakes - we can all live with that. But the decisions that should be easy are the ones they are stuffing up now

The storm of the past, true. This is 2014 and the big 30 has loomed hard and fast.

The only way was down for the storm, it could be a while before they regain anywhere near the highs they had during the cheating years, if ever.

Yeah, we all (all teams, all fans) should just learn to live with the fact that karmic paybacks decide games...
Storm has a ways to go because they lost that game, karmic calls aside (and there were many), they stopped playing unlike last week , the Raiders didn't.
Some saying Bellamy is having a whinge (and he was) but he whinged for all the teams not just his own if people listened properly - guess he hasn't got used to this karmic BS yet.
For all teams - obvious try, try. Obvious no try, no try. 50/50 unseen, undecided by the ref, try with video ref to decide if there is conclusive proof to rule otherwise - never the other way round. How hard is that?

Yeh, I'm taking the piss and what other recourse is there. We have to allow for shit refereeing it seems, hoping it evens out. Maybe like a department store we should factor in these losses and let the public pay

A milking of a penalty is a game-changing refereeing blunder now!? We should just give the game away if that's what the Tele is

Come on now, every game should be replayed if that's what they are using as a standard.

Storm v Dragons is unacceptable, the rest happen all the time.

Sticky's press conference was as good as Bellyache's, the 'f' word drop a nice touch in the context of frustration, does it really matter if a team loses a few games as long as the sponsors get value for their money one way or another . . . better to be in the forefront than stand in the dark.

Those ladder articles are just rubbish.

For example there could easily be one showing that anyone who has played the Sharks and Cowboys has 2 points with zero effort whilst other teams have had to work for it.
