Refereeing inconsistencies

Did anyone watch NRL360 and the rubbish explanation by Patten of why Asofa got off. He dribbled on about separation, not enough force and they couldn't tell the point of contact and might have been the shoulder or neck. FFS, it cracked to poor players teeth, where do you think it hit and I am sure it was more than a tickle to crack 2 teeth. While I don't agree with all that Kent says, he quite rightly pointed out that when someone throws a punch there is previous separation so why do they still get charged.

The NRL should be embarrassed with the MRC's explanation and should call an emergency meeting and sack Patten and whoever is on the MRC for incompetence. If the NRL hierarchy is happy with the MRC's explanation then they deserve what they get and junior numbers falling away and kids going to other sports.
That was comedy at its finest.

How good is the MRC & Judiciary doing ?
Nothing to answer for the Storm players indiscretions against the Warriors ?
I can see a huge suspension for Sua after this weekend for pulling Talakai's beard !

I hate the Storm as much as the next bloke but there’s no way Smith’s tackle was a hip drop.
Probably not, but perhaps the backlash from the non-citing of NAS will lead to more misery for the storm when Smith is suspended.

Then again, it is the storm, so any backlash is water off a duck's back to the NRL.

Now if it were McGuire....

How is NAS high shots different to Sims? Yet he got no time off the field ever and he has done it the same amount of times as Sims. I just don't understand why the Dragons question this ever? Weak and gutless is what they are as any other club would be on the blower immediately. The refs / bunker are definitely basing their decisions on the jersey that is for sure. Fisher Harris got marched as well and again no different to NAS. It is purple Cheats 1 rule the rest the other rule.

Tariq cops a grade 3 charge and will be suspended for 4 weeks uncontested or 5 if contested.

This of course means that we won't see him again this year in the RedV. So, thanks for some of the memories Tariq. Your services are now needed elsewhere and I hope you have success.

f**king rort. NAS does dirty shit every week and gets away with every time. Same tackle. 1 bloke 10 in the bin and 4 week season ending suspension, the other gets a pat on the back and a well done. NRL can get f**ked

There may be an interesting scenario around Sims suspension.
Accept the 4 weeks and (assumed we dont make the 8 lol) not play for the Dragons again, or:
Challenge at the judiciary for a downgrade, possibly asking reduction of 1 game, however, if he challenges and loses, he will miss round 1 for the Storm next year.

Let's see who's pulling the harder strings.

Go in there and fight the grading. Straight up: play the NAS tackle and there’s been a few this year. Why does Sims cop it and not the grub from down south?? Even if he loses it will be “ great “ to hear what dribble they come up with this week. Absolutely zero to lose on this one

And the Eels winger’s tackle on the Manly player on Friday night who knocked the ball from his grasp just as he was going over the line .

A try saver no doubt and to me a tremendous tackle , however our man Rav has spent a lot of time on the side line for the same exact tackle .

The refereeing rules are a mess - the so called judiciary are mindless and the refs themselves useless . They would all be wonderful additions to the Dragon board of movers and shakers . 😳

Should challenge with the aim of losing. It then becomes Melbourne's problem.

Little to gain by not having him suspended with the season gone, but I actually think he is hard done by here as he has been many times in his career.

His arm was down low, no swinging action, maybe a little careless at most.

When you consider what Asofa-Solomona and Kaufusi have gotten away with lately it is just more of the same double standards that we have come to know in this game.

Honestly I don't even bat an eyelid anymore such is the cheatery.

Best of luck in Melbourne Tariq. I am sure they will make you a much better player.

Less time spent in the bin or on the sidelines, for sure.

That was media driven the 4 weeks no bones about it.
They had decided last night he has probably played his last game and then went on to say unfortunate. All sims did was sure not wrap his arms but just kept it by his side and he fell into it.
