This is a big thread and I've been busy doing other stuff on the Internet (porn).

Has anyone made the remember when the Sharks won the Premiership joke?

If so, touche.

If not, its a fkn brilliantly funny joke that I am claiming.

Ronnie, I remember when we won the coveted, prestigious, most sought after Amco Cup trophy.

I think a pic of that wonderful night at Leichhardt deserves a run in this thread...do us a favour & post me a pic please.

Righto, all of the examples so far I remember... EXCEPT John Simon at the Warriors!!! Good Get. Is that for real? I'm racking the memory bank and it still rings no bells....

Iirc he actually captained the Warriors... Could be wrong though. He played in the halves with Stacey Jones in 1999.

Here's one for all you Rugby League Almanacs, English half-back Andy Gregory played one season for the Ilawarra Steerlers. Led Illawarra to the Panasonic Final against the Brisbane Broncos.

Yes remember him well.

But I will raise you with Widnes legend Andy Currier, who also played in the 1989 season for Balmain and was the leading point scorer from that year.

Joe Thomas and Barry Ward were Steelers

hah.. The monobrow bros.. Completely forgot we signed Thomas from the pies.. Didn't do anything for us..

and ward came from the dogs, spent a year (maybe two?) and then went back to the dogs.. Was a bit odd..

It's interesting the pics you come across when doing the searches.

Some re-jog the memory and others you think 'did that really happen'?

We've all been there!

Not only do I not remember Mick Neil playing for Wests, I can't remember Wests being sponsored by IPEC. What year is that?

Early 80s I reckon, a quick search showed that Neil was there from '83-'86.
I have a game worn jersey of the Magpies with IPEC on the front, weighs an absolute tonne.
