I remember that at Carlingford. The KFC buffet. Also the pizza hut pre-buffet all you could eat where the staff would bring out trays and you'd just take what you want and ask them to come by when the next supreme came out. Was a bit of a lottery depending on where you were seated and staff preference.

Carlingford was the first time I tried the KFC buffet but then one opened in Bondi Jct which was easier to get to. Yes I remember the Pizza Hut pre buffet where the staff bought out out the pizza, even though I haven’t been yet I think the new Waterloo store does something like that now some nights, I have read where it is like yum cha pizza style, lol.

Going to Pizza Hut for dinner was awesome. Do you (or anyone) know if there's still any dine-in Pizza Hut Restaurants?

The last one I knew was at Balgownie (north of Wollongong). When I went to the Uni of Wollongong, they had all you can eat lunches from the "pizza buffet".

There is one at Minto/St Andrews on Campbelltown Road.

And Campbelltown also has the last Sizzler in NSW which is only 3km down the road.

Yes it did, Big Rooster was Big in Qld and had a presence in NSW while I think Red Rooster was owned by Coles or similar. Red Rooster took over around the late 80's from memory.

Big Rooster still exists, in PNG........ same branding and colours. I squealed like a school girl when I saw it over there on a work trip. The younger guys with me thought I was tripping when I told them QLD had them before red rooster took over. I didn’t go in an buy any though, I didn’t want it that much........

There is still an all you can eat pizza hut in Townsville and the sizzler near the airport is still operating.

Going to blockbuster. Loved walking through the aisles and renting out vhs tapes in the kids section with my sisters whilst my mum and dad would argue over what movie for them. Always made my day going there. And it wasn't blockbuster without that late fee or getting popcorn.

Yes there are are only 5 of the old style dine in pizza huts left in NSW, St Andrews as you mentioned, Windsor, Orange, Lakehaven and Parkes. Haven’t checked out the new concept dine in stores yet but there are ones at Waterloo, Marsden Park and Merrylands.

Poor old Sizzler, never one of my favourites but the salad bar was ok, I see the old one at Kogarah right next to St George’s Leauges club when I drive past,I thought Saints might have taken over the site when it closed.

Chiko, couple dimmies and a choccy milk. 2 bucks worth of chips fed 4 people now its $3 for a cup.

The old fish and chip shops where they peeled their own potatoes for the chips and you get 10cents worth of chips wrapped in butchers paper then newspaper, not to mentioned the potato scallops, you couldn’t beat the hand made ones back then.

I remember when posting a picture of your Sizzler receipt on the forum was a sign of toughness and wealth ...

Amazing thing about video stores... in Japan, they are still active. So much so that people line up outside waiting to get in.

My first car was a Holden Camira. Alloy wheels & Eurovox stereo with joystick control. It was the dogs bollocks.

That's a unique World view there

Mind you, I'm rather fond of the pooh brown Austin Allegro I learned to drive in

We had two stores in the Blue Mountains up until a couple of years ago, Glenbrook shut in 2016 and Katoomba followed not long after last year.
