Reminders of your childhood

Had friends who always wanted to us to go El Caballo Blanco, even my father didn’t want to go, I think we all agreed it would have been as boring as batshit, lol.
The African Lion Safari on the other hand was great, driving through the park and have lions jump up on the bonnet of the car, cool but scary at the same time, seeing it was such a long drive out the city my father would combine the trip to the Lion Safari with a visit to Warragamba Dam.
Another place I remember but never went to was Adventure Land out at the cross roads at Liverpool and another place we went to with school was Australiana Village out near Wilberforce and of course Old Sydney Town up near Gosford.

yes - and from memory it was Oneill's Adventureland..

Old Sydney Town - surely any kid who went to a school in Sydney in the early 80's had a school excursion there.

So many theme parks.. which reminds me of this..

Went to Old Sydney Town in 1995. Loved the place. If you go to the Australian Reptile Park it is right next to the old site and you can still see some of the old buildings.

In fact the land was sold earlier this year.

Aaaahh Transvision Vamp and the oh so gorgeous Wendy James...every young guy was in love with her back in the day...
The song "Baby I Don't Care" with the old "Wild Thing " guitar riff and that scream she does at the start is extremely sexy...still gets me today..
I still watch it occasionally whenever I'm feeling nostalgic.

Yep.

Wendy James and Kelly Bundy.

Good gravy, did I strip some bark to those two.
