I hate to say it but maybe Cronulla folding will be good for the game. We lose a big drain on the games image and gain a new area as some other team take their place.

Some big lessons will have been learned and maybe we will have turned a corner.

And most events took place before the economy took a nosedive sharply. All this is happening from Cronulla within one season and it's piling up. Why - in recent years they sacked Latu and Bird and now probably Reni, stood down Seymour for a few games, all pretty much immediately regardless of how useful the player is to their gameplan - showing the club now has a zero tolerance policy. I still see Hunt, Boyd, Thaiday, Stewart (if not injured), Tilse running around. Kick the Sharks out and the sun will shine again for another 1000 years? I reckon you'd be lucky for it to make 1000 seconds before another boofhead from another team does something.

That's the first thing I thought of when I was this. Not the being able to buy drugs, but the fact that he was crying poor. He was given an opportunity by the Sharks to get his career back on track knowing fully aware that players get tested for drugs and did it anyway. The guy is a f*cking muppet

dannyboy, I think the problem is that this has made the Sharks precarious position even worse. They're battling to keep sponsors, running dead last, and in a financial black hole. This is the one they can't blame on the media - Reni's f**ked 'em big time.

I don't necessarily agree that it's going to be good for rugby league though, but it does look more and more likely by the day that they'll be gornskis.
