LOL... Thank God that fool isn't with the Bulldogs anymore!

I feel sorry for Cronulla...

Feel sorry for them. The bloke had trouble written all over him. Comes down to recruitment policy. If the club had a no d*ckhead policy then he would never be signed. They are as bad as Roosters. Sign players on so called "talent" and don't worry about the other stuff that comes with them. Bulldogs clear out their sh*te and are doing well, Roosters are going crap.

God, how many more things can go wrong for the Sharks? I'm hard pressed to think of what else they can do to dig our hole even deeper, though at the rate things are going i'm sure they'll think of something.

Could always cut up a Drags jersey on Saturday night.

I hate to say it but maybe Cronulla folding will be good for the game. We lose a big drain on the games image and gain a new area as some other team take their place.

Some big lessons will have been learned and maybe we will have turned a corner.

I'd hate to see any team go but maybe some good could come out of it in this instance.

Far out. You Sharkies fans, I feel its hard being a Canberra fan sometimes, but you guys deserve medals for sticking with your team through all this.

How much more can you take before the camels back breaks though?

It's nothing compared to what Bulldog supporters went through from 2002-08. Thank God we got a CEO with a brain now!

There was rumours Dragons were going to sign him. Happy we didn't, although I imagine he would not be Bennetts cup of tea anyway. He will probably head off to Rugby Union I imagine.

So Reni testing positive is a good thing for the code as it can make us look strong compared to those AFL pussies ?

his naming does when you compare it to this

AFL wins drug name suppression case

August 30, 2006 - 10:39AM

The AFL claimed a victory in the wider fight against illicit drugs on Wednesday after the Victorian Supreme Court endorsed its doping policy.

The court decision rejected a media bid to name three AFL players who had twice tested positive to recreational drugs.

The difference ouwet between us and Cronulla is that we have a far richer history, more successes and are clearly more marketable. And most events took place before the economy took a nosedive sharply. All this is happening from Cronulla within one season and it's piling up. LG will surely walk now and I imagine PKF and B2B won't be far behind. Reni's just single-handedly f**ked his club up the backside. I for one am glad we punted him when we did, and couldn't give a stuff if he wins his case against us - we did the right thing.

Maitua should have been in jail years ago. Cronulla are better off without this bloke.

Your fans are genuine pieces of sh*t who don't deserve the slightest bit of sympathy.

Thank f*** Souths didn't sign this tool.

We offer him a fresh start, 3 years, great training facilities and he chooses 1 year deal and now he will be sacked.

In the end we got Crocker, so i ain't complaining

Hold the phone...

Is this Reni Maitua the same bloke who a couple of months back was sobbing about being dirt-poor and barely being able to pay the bills? How the f**k can he afford recreational drugs? :?

Why - in recent years they sacked Latu and Bird and now probably Reni, stood down Seymour for a few games, all pretty much immediately regardless of how useful the player is to their gameplan - showing the club now has a zero tolerance policy. I still see Hunt, Boyd, Thaiday, Stewart (if not injured), Tilse running around. Kick the Sharks out and the sun will shine again for another 1000 years? I reckon you'd be lucky for it to make 1000 seconds before another boofhead from another team does something.

That's the first thing I thought of when I was this. Not the being able to buy drugs, but the fact that he was crying poor. He was given an opportunity by the Sharks to get his career back on track knowing fully aware that players get tested for drugs and did it anyway. The guy is a f*cking muppet

dannyboy, I think the problem is that this has made the Sharks precarious position even worse. They're battling to keep sponsors, running dead last, and in a financial black hole. This is the one they can't blame on the media - Reni's f**ked 'em big time.

I don't necessarily agree that it's going to be good for rugby league though, but it does look more and more likely by the day that they'll be gornskis.
