I don’t blame him for the shit effort in a lot of those years, and we’ll never know of course, but I believe he would have proven to be better than his replacement.

Maguire & his replacement are as bad as each other.We haven’t had a decent coach since Cleary.Love him or hate him Cleary got the team playing with uncharacteristic grit.Under the one dimensional Maguire the team regressed each season over the 4 abominable yrs he was coach.The way he presented himself in the humiliating mockumentary underscored how clueless & unfit he was in his position as coach.

I think the big difference is SOO is about bonding, getting players to compliment each other rather than micro managing.
The Broncos have enough top players for it to be similar to SOO and should work.
I believe he failed with us simply because we were hopeless

But managing 3 games is a lot different to a full season, it is huge.
Look at Benji.
Yes, we were and are hopeless………….next year.

I think the players spending more than 6 weeks with Madge once the “oh wow” wears off from the players, a couple of losses occur in succession, then a couple more, then when madge starts resorting to screaming obscenities which we all know is his go to approach, then it’ll be “oh fk who is this freak” from the players .. the positive will be they will prob win the first 5 games of the season but from there a catastrophic fall from grace … with Walters watching on with glee.
