Good luck with the rest of your season with the Panthers. Dead beats (Brown and Doust) don't deserve such a talented player. You have been made the scapegoat and after only 7 NRL fg games, you are expected to be the saviour for the Dragons. You are our leading try-scorer, but you never seem to get credit for that.

I hate wishing Dragons players who leave the club success at other clubs, but this is a totally different matter. Wish you all the best. I'm sure you can become a star at the Panthers.

He shows flashes of brilliance early, but his second half game is usually very quiet.

At this point in his career he seems a little incosistant really, so I don't imagine it will upset the state of things too much. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind him, as a player, but I feel there are others that the club need to give priority to.

Good luck in the future, Richie.

You were a scapegoat for the woes of the team, as a whole.

I hope you have a good career at Penrith.

Spare me. Glad to see the back of him. Nothing personal at all, but just doesn't cut it for mine. Not up to NRL standard at this point in his career & not worth holding on to based on "potential".

Never said he was meant to be our "saviour", but dead-set you'd think he was the only player in the Saints jumper playing like a busted.

If we bagged off and then punted every player not performing we'd be left with a team of two players.

It's no coincidence that Richie's nick name is possum... But looks like the club were mad to let such a super star go. I mean look at his stellar career and all...
In 2007, Williams was charged with assault, after an incident in the town of Narooma, New South Wales[1]
Also in 2007, Williams created controversy after publicly sledging rival Sydney Roosters player Braith Anasta prior to a game between their respective clubs; a game in which both Williams and his club were considerably dominated by Anasta and the Roosters respectively. Williams was demoted to premier league by coach Nathan Brown soon afterwards.[2] Williams was also involved in an altercation with controversial Bulldogs player Willie Mason over the issue.[3]
Although Williams returned to first-grade with the Dragons, he was eventually released mid-season and signed a contract with the Panthers for the remainder of the year and 2008.[4]
In May, 2008, Williams was sacked from the Penrith Panthers following an incident, the details of which were never released.[5]
He also played club rugby union in Sydney and made the Australian Sevens side.
He currently plays for the Burleigh Bears in the Queensland Cup.
MAD I TELLS YA!
