Yeah, thats exactly what this forum does. It brings up old topics of conversation to praise the good things that players, coaches, etc etc, have done years later. We are a positive bunch here on the Parra forum.

Not being positive nor negative. Just calling it as I see it.

To this day there has been bugger all, to come out of the SK appointment. Happy to be proven wrong though.

The mating call of the deathrider.

Here is a photo of all the deathriders the day SK got the sack;

For half time entertainment I would just get Mark Warren shouting incoherently into a microphone.

If SK was still coach, I fear the protest pile would be underway in the leagues club carpark.

.Ricky Stuart joins Eels for three years
July 27, 2012
Ricky Stuart has signed a three-year deal to coach struggling NRL club Parramatta.
The NSW State of Origin coach will take over at the Eels for the 2013 NRL campaign onwards.
Stuart takes over from Stephen Kearney who vacated the role last week with the Eels last on the ladder with just four wins from 18 matches this year.

So the rumours were true

Stuart did a good deflection for Roy and Bentley after Roy was asked why wasn't he at SK's press conference.

What were the keys points from the press conference for us stuck at work - I assume it wasn't much except for Bob stating he is happy for such an experienced coach to be coming on board. And Stuart mentioning he is looking forward to working with a club with huge potential and promising juniors

Bentley never said much at all apart from announcing Stuart had signed for a 3 year deal. Early on most of the questions were about origin until Stuart turned around said the press conference is about Parramatta.

He said players will be determine whether they are at the club in the future by their performances on the field. Can't wait to work with Sandow and said he was tough with all the pressure on him. Has no plan yet where Hayne will play and the make up of his coaching staff isn't known. Next year will be a tough year but promised the fans etc the team will be putting up a big fight week in week out.

Roy said that signing Stuart was the biggest coup for the club since Gibson and feels Stuart will be the coach longer than the 3 years.

'Stuart the best Eels signing since Jack Gibson'

Parramatta haven't wasted any time heaping pressure on new coach Ricky Stuart, declaring him the best signing since Jack Gibson.
"I think it's huge," chairman Roy Spagnolo said.
"It's probably the best signing we've had, probably since Gibson.

"For us it's a really positive way to go forward and return the club back to its glory days."
The Eels officially unveiled their coach for the next three seasons at a press conference inside Parramatta Stadium this morning, but his appointment could've been mistaken as a sideshow, with Stuart left to answer questions about his future as NSW Origin coach.
The Eels say they haven't spoken to Stuart about the possibility of coaching at both club and state level, with Stuart to meet with the NSWRL next week.
While the decision is out of Stuart's hands, with the NSWRL yet to decide whether they will renege on their policy to appoint a coach with no NRL attachments, Stuart admits he feels strongly about the role.
"Let me tell you, if they don't make the right decision over the coming weeks in regards to NSW, Queensland will go on to win 10 series in a row," Stuart said.
"It's a very important decision for NSW rugby league and if I can assist in that decision, I most definitely will, because I care for Origin football, I care for NSW and we're not far away.
"I want to win for the players sake, for NSW, as much as anybody."
He also wants that at his new club, admiring the attitude of all involved, who seek nothing but success for Parramatta.
"When I sat down with Roy and Bob [Bentley], I could see how committed they were to their football team and wanting to win," Stuart said.
"It's a big club out here, it's a big challenge, and what I was excited about was the people who were involved are all desperate to be winners, and I like that attitude.
"For anyone who knows me, as soon as I adapt to new colours, new club, that's my club - that's the way I feel."
