Time for a change. Ricky has lost the plot this season and needs a year out of the game.

His style of intense coaching has caught up with him and he probably needs to reassess his approach to the game.

I'm sure he will bounce back bigger and better than ever with a new club in 2008.

Am surprised people feel that Ricky's record is all that great? My memory is that the early years had a very big Gus Gould influence, and without Fitler in teh squad Ricky struggled big time.

If the Roosters hierarchy was all that impressed with the record, then Ricky wouldn't have been turfed early. They want better, and they want to find a coach who might get the best (or better) out of the players at his disposal.

Best to move on and nip the rumours in the bud. Give the players a chance to send Ricky off a winner... if they care?

I think he should go to the sharks and then we will see if he can coach. If he can get them to win the comp then he has proven himself.

glad i dont have to put up with his ugly head anymore, but a bit concerned...
teams have a habit of getting up the week something like this happens

I think the players have already planned out their end of season trip. I'll be surprised if they come back on for the second half - might try to catch an earlier flight.

Coaching any team is about haveing the cattle and having a lot of luck.
Ricky had both them for a few years but over the last few years thats deserted him.
He just needs a new club and he will fire again--a team like the sharks would be crazy if they didnt try and lure him down to the mangoe swamps at shark park
