hahah any chance to dig the knife in.

Some of you are hilarious, you criticise Stuart all year saying how he is a crap coach and the Roosters are crap blah blah, now it's poor Stuart the Roosters treated him badly.

....as for those who suggested it is a knee-jerk reaction.....2 years of hopelessly underperforming displays is not a knee-jerk. It was a long tiem coming!

3 years out of 5 to the Grand Final is a hell of a good achievement. There'd be a fair few coaches out there who's accept that as hopelessly underperforming.

That buys you a lot of credit - particularly when the club, as nearly all clubs will face with the cyclical forces of the salary cap, are going through a rebuilding phase. Anyone who's naiive enough to suggest they aren't is toying with themselves.

To use a Warren Sapp quote Ricky didnt bake that cake, he just took it out of the oven. Imo the fact they lost 2 as overwhelming favourites put's questions on his coaching ability as well as player's who have left and flourished elsewhere. I wonder if Ricky's got the patience yet to be a good coach as he certainly didnt have it as a player.

It also highlights the ridiculous decsion to make him the Australia coach. How about giving it to some-one who has done there time ala Johnny Lang, Tim Sheens etc.

This has got to be a no-brainer.

John Lang...... look at what he accomplished with Penrith given the right timeframe and playing/coaching staff. He took the chocolate soldiers from the spoon to the title in 2 seasons!

No reason he can't do the same at Bondi.

Just outta interest.... will this affect Ricky Stuart's roll as Australian coach?

Well Chris Anderson coarched Aus without a club, so probably not.

Stuart has done all that good stuff with some all-time great players, and at the Roosters, he inherited a great team, and had P. Gould as coaching director. He is not as great as some think IMO

His also contributed to penrith going the other way. Mind you getting the panthers players mind on the job seems to be akin in challange to raising the titanic. IMO opinion lang needs to do a sheens and take some time away from coaching and reinvent himself a little

Also after helping us defeat our mortal enemies in the grand final seeing him coaching them would be something I can't stand.

I wonder what Ivan Cleary is thinking right now...

I'm sure he's glad he's in NZ. I know who's going to be a contender over the next 5 year's...and it aint the Syndey City Rooted.

Oh contrare.... err, have you?

My point is this

Yes i have had a crack at certain players, but i never had a crack at someone for expressing their opinion and questioned their credentials for dare having such an opinion. All i did was ask you how many NRL games you've played lately after i read your thread bagging sh*t out of Toopi. It's the same thing isn't it?

Imo if you want Ricky to be your coach then you need a Veteran team but if you have a young, developing tean then I wouldnt let him within 10km's of them. Looking at Anthony Tupou as an example can anyone tell me he's progressed in his game as much as they thought.

Or what about Brett Finch, went there with all kinds of promises made to him about how Ricky would develop him, but 4 years later he's gone backwards.

Funny how the Roosters 58-6 win over the Warriors in 04 cost Daniel Andersons job now the Warriors thrashing of the Roosters in 06 has cost Stuart his job.....

Good job i love every minute of this, one less moaning coach out of the NRL

Finch gone backwards? He never went forward in the first place.

As for Tupou, he has been our best player this year. A superstar who would look even better in a more stable team.
