When he went to the sharks i thought it was a worry, when he failed at the sharks i started to accept he was a myth. When he failed miserably with NSW i decided that was beyond doubt and now his tenure at parra seems like an exact rerun of his time at the sharks. The bloke is a myth, he is a blame shifter and an egotist.

The thing with NSW was, he picks this extremely mobile and skillful pack, fast backs. You'd look at the side and say ok, they are going to try and wear QLD out with their speed around the ruck. Zero ruck moves in the series, no wingers coming in running off forwards, no attempt at all to wear QLD down with their speed. The bloke is a terrible coach. Picks a team then doesn't use their strengths.

I mean sure he didn't win origin but if you read the press afterwards you wouldn't know that. Just ask some of Ricky's journalist mates. Ricky is the second coming of christ

Ricky's teams are also unfairly targeted by refs; therefore all refs should report to Ricky for questioning post game.

Ricky is also such a great coach that he refuses to know anything about the opposition, so he can think about himself some more.

I don't know if the bloke can coach or not. What I do know is that if the Eels swapped coaches with the Storm starting this week, they (the Storm) would continue to be a great team and the Eels would continue to be the worst team.

Because Ricky is such an easy guy to dislike, people love to give him no credit for the premiership he won (and the other two GFs), saying he inherited a great side; yet he inherits the worst team - on paper - in the NRL and those same people say it's his fault.

Eels are an absolute basket case and have been for years. Had they been well run, they never would've gone through so many lean patches. Have a look at your own team then ask yourself how many of the Eels starting 17 would you take in your team.

As far as SOO goes - how well did Bellamy do in his three years? Three series defeats including the only whitewash in over 10 years. Who had the far superior sides during those years? QLD. You can't give any coach the quality of roster the Eels have this year and expect them to be competitive. I don't care how good you are.

Sticky is a good coach. You don't make 3 Grand Finals, win 1, make a Preliminary final with a fairly average Cronulla squad and come within a bees dick of beating one of the greatest representative sides in Rugby League history if you can't coach.

He'll need to be judged after 1-2 years at least to see if he can make good progressive in overhauling what is a really dreadful Parramatta team.

Hopoate, Norman (don't really rate him, but he's an upgrade) and the two English players will be welcome additions next year. If he can cut shit like Roberts and Ben Smith and get Hayne & Sandow to pull their fingers out of their arses then they'll improve.

Agreed. BTW, he was also the last NSW coach to win a series (2005).

Bag Bellamy but he sure as heck wouldn't be paying Sandow 650K, lets not mention Roberts either. That is a million dollars of your cap on two NSW Cup Standard halves.

Surely the coach must take some fault. To make things WORSE...he continues to pick them!:crazy:

Yeah... except Ricky Stuart didn't sign either Sandow or Roberts either.
