Happy with that list. Good mix of business skill, IT knowledge, finance ability and some RL background. Pearce does look the odd one out but lets see how he performs. I just hope they have the independence and b4lls to make the right tough decisions for the future of the game and don't get dragged into a NRL clubsv NSWRL v QRL argument everytime.

Why was Superleague started in the first place clown??

It's because RL was Australia's No 1 rating sport in the winter.

Friday night footy in RL almost always beat the equivalent coverage in Melbourne and the same went for the Saturday afternoon live league game on the ABC and the Sunday night replay.

You seem to think RL was behind "other sports" before the last deal.

What planet are you on? Planet Gallop by the sounds of it. Are you related to him?

1) I didn't say behind other sports, i just said one sport in particular got very lucky and our numbers now are far more dominating then they were back then.

2) I'm talking about the period after SL, when the code was brought to its knee because of that stupid war.

Um, I can think of one that probably would.

And as for Gallop getting hold of the job for four years, it sreally is great (for) News.

So News Ltd get cash to subsidise Melbourne and first and last options on TV rights until 2027 and they get to name the commissioners and the CEO. They can also start another RL comp if they feel like it to compete with whatever they decide to call the NRL.

The cost for this? - NIL. They actually get to dodge their current commitment.

But News refuse to rule out a raid on RL once again if it loses the TV rights deal

New idea: lets get every NRL club and all the bid teams to sign a non-compete clause for 25 years.

If you want to be a franchise, you have to sign it.

Enough fell for the super league a few years ago, even more fell for the IC this time around.

What makes you think no-one would go?

People are alot wiser this time around. I bet if a poll got put up who would support a comp started by NEWS only trolls would vote yes.

The ARL had a lot of say in the commissioners, i know you are on a "news limited control everything and we are fuc*ed" routine but lets use facts.

ARL and News choose the commissioners 50/50, if any one commissioner doesn't do his/her job, the other commissioners will get rid of that person. News Wanted Williamson but was stopped by the ARL.

Good idea.
