April 5th, 2011
By Daniel Andruczyk

The surprises in the Super League continue this weekend with Castleford, Warrington and Huddersfield still up top, but a few upsets were sprung. In the Elite one round remains to decide the champions and three teams are in the running. The NRL is showing that once again its anyone’s game with teams that played poor last week playing great this week and vice versa. The MENA championships continue and news from Canada and New Zealand and Jamaica crown their University champions.

After once again being on the road with work, this time to Princeton, I now have no major engagements till May, when I take holidays, but this just means I will be traveling round to watch Rugby league. So the last two weeks has seen lots of news and results from the world of international Rugby League. From Ireland, to the USA, France to Australia, England to the Czech Republic. Much has been going on. So when I say the season is in full swing I mean that all around the world Rugby League is in full swing.

Eels and Eagles Lead While Rugby League Looks at History

May 8th, 2011
By Daniel Andruczyk

A few days a go an interesting article caught mine, and well everyone else’s eye, one that will see (hopefully) the ANZACS pay a great tribute to the fallen diggers of Australia and New Zealand. Another interesting article saw some interesting comments coming out of the Rugby Union camp… are excuses already coming out for the World Cup? And there is much more news form the USA and the antipodes.

Uate’s Selection Shows What’s Wrong in Rugby League

May 20th, 2011
By Daniel Andruczyk

Its silly season again, where New South Wales and Queensland take each other on in that Civil War that is State of Origin. However what many don’t realise is that State of Origin has basically become a somewhat crusade of mercenary players. Players who are ditching their nation of heritage to basically get a fatter pay check. Of course I am referring to Akiula Uate’s selection for the Country and then the NSW Blues team.

It’s State if Origin Time and so this means Australia’s Silly Season has arrived where NSW and QLD head to what can be described as Australia’s annual Civil War. Lots of domestic results from around the world and I have a great weekend with exciting news from Europe and experiencing the USA’s biggest spectator sport. But first results from around the world from this weekend.

It’s extraordinarily positive news that the Italia RFL welcomes with the beginning of the season coming.

One of the most imposing hurdles to cross for the long-term projects is to find a venue that will allow a peaceful and continuous development. The Italia RFL only just in its second year of creation can add this important element to the structure.

One Hell of a Week

May 26th, 2011
By Daniel Andruczyk

So Today I had to endure my first ever real Tornado threat. We had one touch down just north of the city and everyone were on standby. Luckily it didn’t last long and there was no damage, still I am not sure I’d want to come across one of these things. But getting back to Rugby League, Well the first shots of the annual Civil war have been fired and first blood has been drawn by the Maroons. Now I know I have been critical od State of Origin for many reasons, it doesn’t mean I still don’t get into it. But all its done is get me in the right frame of mind for the smorgasbord of Rugby league I’ll be getting in the next week! So this article I will try to link State of Origin and the American Rugby League together.
